After the incubator has been running for fifth days, it's possible to scan the eggs with a bright light to see inside the shells.
This will give you a good idea of whether or not an egg is progressing according to plan, and it will also allow you to follow the process of embryo development at first hand.
To confirm if an eggs are fertilized or not, This Light will let you see then by showing a dark spot and veins. You just can't tell before then. you can mark your eggs with dates in pencil so that you can keep track. This light was very helpful and was really fun to watch the growth of the eggs. You can check about once or twice a week to make sure that they were still growing.

We’ve tried everything, but it only works while plugged in, and the cord is pretty short. Loved our old one so much better, but it finally quit after years of use. I just can’t recommend this one when there are so many better ones out there.

I only used this light 2 or 3 times in a 21 day cycle and it worked fine. It was left put away and unplugged for next time use. Next time I set some eggs to incubate it would not work and the return/exchange window was closed. It's a bummer, it was nearly 20 dollars.
