Let’s never lined up. Keys do not hit ink tape all the time. Have to punch to hard or go back and punch letter again to read it. I’m going to bay a different brand

I wrote a longer review of this typewriter but, it somehow got deleted so I will keep this short. I am an excellent typist having learned in High School and carried this skill throughout college and my entire working career. So what I have to say here is the truth, sadly, as I was so looking forward to receiving this typewriter and have been extremely disappointed today, to say the least.This typewriter is a piece of JUNK - DO NOT parchase one. If you want a typewriter, get a refurbished one from your local vendor where you can test it out and know what you are getting for your money.Nothing on this machine works properly. I couldn't even get the keys to hit the paper and leavea mark.I would return the typewriter to Amazon but. that is so much of a hassle that I have chosen keep it, as it does LOOK nice even if it is a worthless piece of ____.I wish Amazon would TEST items like this before they stock them. I am a VERY DISAPPOINTED AMAZON CUSTOMER.

Keys do not strike page with much force; print is very light. I am wondering if the ribbon is dried out.Otherwise, it is a satisfactory machine. Ordered it for my 100 year old mom.
