I ordered this pressure valve and then tried to cancel it but it couldn't be canceled. It arrived and is of excellent quality. We have water pressure spikes to 110/120 PSI that we haven't identified the cause. We have a Pressure Regulator (PRV) set at 51 PSI and an Expansion Tank on the Water Heater. Nevertheless, Water Pressure spikes. I bought an adapter to go from 1/2" male NPT to 3/4" female NPT. Screwed this on our Hose bib in the back of the House. This valve opens every so often and it likely saving our Plumbing and Appliances from high-pressure damage. We've spent $$$$ trying to get the issue identified and resolved. In the meantime, super glad we have this pressure relief valve. If we get the problem resolved, we will still install this pressure relief valve permanently. Good insurance.

This relief valve is for my tankless hot water heater. It was factory set for 75psi. My line is at 100-120psi. Fortunately, the adjustment was pretty easy. The trick was to loosen up the thin cap and then you can increase the psi with every turn of a flat head screwdriver. The best part is this can be done with both the female and male connections already in place. The water will be slowly dripping at first but just keep turning until the dripping stops. It’s very exciting when you get it right!!

Pressure regulator set for 60 psi and relief valve began leaking around week 3 or 4.I had to install a garden hose temporarily to carry away the water leaks until I can replace,

Exactly as described works fine but somewhat overpriced.

Just what I need to correct over pressure from water heater. The pre set 75 psi worked perfectly. Highly recommend for those cases where after showers the pressure builds up and you do not have an accumulator tank at the water heater.

Installed this after my original valve let loose and left 2 inches of water in my basement. It went on very easily with some Teflon tape and a small pipe wrench. After it was installed I spun off the cover cap, adjusted the screw to 125 psi by counting the turns, and spun the cap back on (I also labeled 125 psi with a marker on the valve). It’s been on for about two months now and no signs of any leaking. Very happy with the quality.

This pressure relief valve worked great in our RV to keep the hot water tank expansion from raising the pressure to high. We observed greater than 100 psi at times. We have a pressure gauge inline with this valve and we successfully adjusted the relief pressure to prevent the system from exceeding 60 psi. I searched local hardware stores but couldn’t find anything that matched the compact size of this unit.
