I'm getting 80-90 psi from the city occasionally and ruptured a pipe connection in my attic. No more worry with this pre-set valve.

Good price. I liked this and comparatively I saved at least 20 bugs over original part that came with and failed in less than 3 years. Working as good as or even better than original.

Leaked (drip) at first so adjusted release pressure up and leaked stopped. Do not know what pressure the water line in this area is but believe it is higher than it should be.

Just as described.

As other reviews state (sad I didn't read them first) this is not adjustable. I was looking for a valve I could set to 90psi, but this is set to 75 and there's no changing it.If you want 75, though, this looks like it's well made.

Despite the description, this valve is not adjustable. It is factory pre-set to open at 75 psi. The seller should correct this listing error.

Good quality fixed pressure relief valve. The valve is preset to open at 75 PSI which makes it suitable for water systems running in the 45-65 PSI range. It is not adjustable and does not have an over-temperature function (not for a boiler or water-heater). It would normally be used after a pressure regulator to prevent an over pressure condition if the regulator started leaking. It appears to have a rubber washer which will eventually need to be replaced. I have not tried to take it apart to see if it can be maintained.

I had an old one that went out. This one replaced it and works perfectly. The outlet is smaller than the inlet... but this is typical for one of these. My old one was the same.
