This is a cute pattern, but it's not for beginners. The pattern even says "Intermediate" as the first line! Crochetta has some nice actual beginner kits, with illustrated stitch glossaries, QR linked videos, practice yarn as well as yarn for the kit project, and a better quality of beginner tools. Get one of those first and come back to this one later.

Found this kit while searching for a new way to learn how to crochet. It comes up as a beginner project but on the packaging it says intermediate.

Quality of the kit was just so-so. The yarn felt flimsy, and the plastic crochet needle was just plain terrible. The instructions were not great and there were many steps omitted. I searched the web and could only find 1 single picture of the finished product and that was the one on the cover of the package. It was not clear that anyone ever actually finished this kit.In the end, I had to make adjustments to get it to stand up, had to figure out how to attach the mane and how to create the tail. If you want a good kit, with lots of help along the way and plenty of pictures, quality materials and many customer photos of the finished product go Woobles. They set the standard for amigurumi kits!

Difficult for young hands. Too small of a project. I enjoyed finishing it. Looks so cute.

I ordered this for my daughter. It’s really cute. My mom used to crochet a lot and now her granddaughter will be walking in her footsteps.

Instructions were not complete and made it difficult to assemble. I would not purchase this kit or recommend to others.

Although this was advertised as "easy for beginners" it really isn't. The instructions are confusing and not very clear. Although I have been crocheting for many years I had to put this away and give it a try another day.
