These are simple brackets but of quality materials. The included small anchor and screw mean a small hole, basically the size of a typical screw; they hold well. I didn't try the adhesive mounting but I assume the quality will be as good. The bracket holds the sensor securely.

I am happy with this! Now I can mount my nest temperature sensors! It doesn't stand out!
