This Lenox plate is made from bone china, so it is lightweight, but very strong and resistant to breaks and chipping. It is in a classic white color with a metallic silver edge and a subtle scroll pattern around the perimeter of the plate. It is both modern and classic in appearance, not like your mother's or grandmother's flowery china of old. It is also dishwasher safe, which is so convenient! I would avoid putting this plate in the microwave, as the metallic rim could cause sparking.

Lenox sets a high standard, and this plate is consistent quality with what I would expect. The pattern is lovely.

Reputable brand, ordered for Thanksgiving since it reminded me of the Lord of the Rings and would look nice on our table holding cranberry sauce, or butter, or something

The Lenox Confection Butter Plate has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. Its elegant design adds a touch of sophistication to my dining table, making even simple meals feel special. The size is just right for holding butter or spreads, and the quality of the porcelain is evident in its smooth finish. I appreciate how easy it is to clean, whether by hand or in the dishwasher. This plate not only serves its purpose well but also enhances my table setting, making it a lovely addition to any gathering. It has definitely elevated my dining experience.

Nice little butter dish that's simple but elegant. Somewhat nondescript, but I mean that in a good way, in that it can go with any other patterns that you might use. I like the platinum accent on the edge and that they also included it around the well of the plate. I wish that the swirl design was repeated in the border at least once or twice, rather than having it in only one spot.

I picked up this small Lenox bone china butter plate as I inherited quite a few pieces of Lenox china from my mother, who liked all fine china (including Lenox) and would mix and match different china patterns (primarily cups and saucers) whenever entertaining. This particular piece of Lenox in the Confection pattern was a pattern I was not familiar with before this purchase, but because it is primarily plain, except for a swirl on the plate rim, I thought it would blend right in with other pieces I already have. As it is marked "Made in the USA", I knew it had to be new old stock, as Lenox has not manufactured any china in the USA since 2020. I did a bit of research on the pattern, discovering it was produced between 2009 and 2012, when the pattern was discontinued. The plate arrived in pristine condition, still with its stock label stuck onto the back side of the plate. The plate is basically white in color, with two applied narrow platinum trim lines - one on the outer rim of the plate and the second where the plate curves downward to create the food surface. The swirled pattern on the plates' rim appears only in one section of the rim, is of the more typical (at least in my mind) Lenox ivory color that you see on the majority of Lenox china pieces - more often edged with gold rather than the platinum, allowing this plate to blend in with virtually all Lenox china that has been produced over the years. I included a photo of an well used Ivory colored Lenox nut bowl with a gold rim sitting on top of the new white Lenox plate with its ivory swirl pattern and platinum rim so you can see the difference in coloring between the two dishes, just for reference, My thanks to the Amazon Vine program for sending me this plate for free in exchange for my honest review of it. Lenox has made produced some high quality china over the years and this plate is a perfect example of it.

This review is for the Lenox Butter Plate (Collection - Confection, Item Number - 811649). I received a free taxable sample of this plate to review in my search for nice plates I could use for dipping and to serve small bites on.The plate is made in the USA out of fine bone china and weighs 196 grams with a 3 ¾” diameter circular footed base and a top outer diameter of 6 ⅜”. The plate is approximately ⅝” in height with a shallow lowered section that is 4 ⅞” in diameter. The outer and inner rims are finished with nice polished metallic lines and one end of the plate is embellished with a curvy almost knot design rendered in what looks like a matte pale gold. There is a nice weight and durable feel to the plate that comes across as sturdy but not bulky. From the digital product photos and “ivory” color description I was initially expecting the plate to be yellowish in color and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the plate is a standard fine white in color. Branding is limited to the bottom of the plate where “Made in U.S.A.”, the “Confection” collection name, “fine bone china”, and “dishwasher safe” are also printed. Note that this plate is not safe for the microwave, most likely due to the metallic edging on the outer and inner rims.I’ve been using this plate mainly to serve small bites of finger foods, individual charcuterie portions, and on occasion a small pile of cookies. I had originally thought it might be nice to serve up avocado toast on it, but the elegant design and beauty of the plate would be completely covered up by regular sized toast. That being said, I took an idea from the product description and like that this plate works well to hold olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip bread in. Overall care and maintenance have been easy as this plate is durable and, even though this plate is marked as dishwasher safe, I’ve been washing by hand as I don’t want to run the risk of any discoloration to the metallic elements. All in all, this is an excellent fine bone china plate with great durability and touch of class design. I recommend this a good option for nice plates you can use for dipping and to serve small bites on.
