Was able to use these to build a water bottle launcher with pvc pipe. Overall use of this is fairly straight forward and you can cut various sizes. The bigger the pipe, the less likely the the piece would be completely square. Overall solid quality, blade didn't seem to dull after cuts I've used it with.

These cutters -- like almost all other Lenox tools, blades, and bits I've used -- are head and shoulders above most other similar tools. These cutters are easier to use, and make quicker, more consistent cuts than other similar cutters. 1 1/4 sched 40 PVC is a little challenging to keep perfectly square, but cuts well otherwise. Everything smaller and/or softer is easy. I haven't tried it with anything larger yet.

I find these cutters to incredibly efficient for various plumbing tasks. These cutters made quick work of 1" PVC pipes, delivering clean, precise cuts without ragged edges. The ratcheting mechanism allows for smooth, one-handed operation, which is convenient in tight spaces. The stainless steel blade and cast aluminum body ensure durability and longevity, making this tool a valuable addition to any DIY homeowner's toolkit. The comfortable handles are well-suited for larger hands but may be slightly challenging for those with smaller grips. In my experience, these Lenox pipe cutters excelled at making straight, square cuts, which is crucial for plumbing applications. The tool's sturdy construction and reliable cutting ability make it an excellent choice for anyone needing to work with plastic pipes, whether for home repairs or more extensive DIY projects. If you're looking for a durable and efficient cutting tool, the Lenox plastic pipe cutters are definitely worth considering.

These are really good. Lenox has gone from the brand I got at my supply house to the Lowes in house brand and some products seem to have declined in quality. These seem like good cutters on a par with most others. We use mostly ABS here in CA and it cuts through it like butter. The blades dont last as long with PVC. Please note to all the DIY'ers out there that If you dont make cuts as straight as possible the blades will bend. This is true on even the most expensive cutters and especially the larger the pipe gets. The good news is you can get replacement blades for these and not chuck the whole thing like most knock offs. This is a good tool that is worth the money.

I purchased a cheaper one of these a few years ago. The only real comparison between that no-brand and this Lenox is that both are designed to cut plastic pipe. The Lenox tool is very easy to use and allows you to push the blade down to the size pipe you are working with. Seems like they all should do that, but the cheap one I bought required ratcheting down to size, and kind of required 3 hands. The sort of scary part is that whenever I use this tool I think about how easily it would take off a finger...That's probably more about me than the tool, though. The tool is a high-quality, well-engineered example of what I think a tool should be: rugged, functional, easy to use with some nice little features, like the plastic lock that keeps the handles together in your tool pouch. Tool is easy to use with one hand and makes nice square cuts in PVC pipe up to 2.75" diameter.

Cut 3 pieces of new 1 1/2” pvc sch 40 and you can see the damage to the blade. Even though the description shows a picture cutting white pvc pipe. Definitely wouldn’t own a dedicated pair of poly pipe cutters in my truck. Pass on the purchase.
