i used the blade for steel and after about cutting 1/4 inch the blade got dull in mild steel.I ordered 14 teeth also, will return it.

It is getting harder to find U-shank blades at local hardware stores. Thanks to Amazon, I can still buy them here. The LENOX medium metal cutting jig saw blade cut right through 1/8" steel with very little effort. Teeth still looked intact and ready for more cutting tasks.
