Will not fit100mm lens aperture, way too big.

I did not like the cloth cover that came with the lens but didn’t want the Zelmin lens cap for over $100 so I looked at this.It fits the Nikon 800mm 6.3 perfectly and folds to much smaller than the contraption that came with the lens. Also includes a hard plastic disc between the foam to add protection. Great product.

The lenscoat website suggests the xxl for the Canon EF 300 F2.8L IS II. It's too big. I returned the XXL and got the next size down (XL). The XL is a much better fit for the above Canon 300 lens.

I got this for my Sigma 500mm f4.5 lens. The lens hood cover that comes with the lens, strangely doesn’t fit very well over the actual lens hood when you pack the lens away. This fits perfectly.

I ordered the XL size in this product but ended up being sent an XXL. I ordered it for a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm F2.8G ED VR II not knowing how it would fit the lens with and without the hood in place. The XXL fits loose (lots of wiggle room) with no hood, but snug when covering the hood. Makes it easy to fit/remove the hoodie in a hurry. I tend to use this lens with the hood in place, so the XXL size was a good choice. The XL would have been a tighter fit on the lens hood. Making it a bit more of an effort to get on and off.The hoodie seems to be well made. Haven't put it thru much stress since purchase. Neoprene, however, tends to deteriorate over time as it gets roughed up. We'll see how long this one lasts.

I love the cover but I’m using it on a sigma 150-600 contemporary lens and I personally find the fit a little bit loose it’s fallen off on more than one occasion but I use an elastic cord which solves this issue apart from that. Great product

Because Amazon isn't particularly diligent about connecting reviews with the actual items which are being reviewed let me say up front that I am commenting on the Lenscoat XL hoodie not some other size. This size perfectly fits a Canon 300 2.8L NON-IS lens. (It does NOT fit the Canon ET-118II sun hood for this lens and you cannot stretch it over that hood.)The Canon 300 2.8L NON-IS lens is probably the largest lens that the XL size fits well. It goes on relatively easily and can be removed with reasonable effort. It grips the lens well enough that it will not slip off by accident.

This hoodie is just a tad too small for my Nikon 500mm f4E VR FL, so I’d imagine it’s too small for other 500mm f4 lenses. It’s made for 200-400mm and 500mm f4 lenses, but unfortunately it’s just a little too small. It’s difficult to get on and therefore I can only give it three stars. I’m hoping over time it becomes looser and is more easily put on, but it’s been a month and it’s still difficult to put on. Unfortunately the next size up is too large. I never had this issue with XXL and my 400mm f2.8G VR, but I’m not too happy with this one.

I bought this looking for a lens cover that I could quickly take off and put back on my Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 while doing wildlife photography. I've found that with standard lens caps, you always run the risk of not hitting the threading quite right when you put it on quickly and having the cap pop off later. I found it is much easier to reliably secure this hood in a hurry than a standard lens cap. The only thing that I would like to see improved with this cap is if the little leather tab on the side was actually a loop that you could thread something through. This would allow you to completely prevent the hood from falling off when you know you wouldn't need to use the lens for a while. As for sizing, LensCoat recommends the X large size for the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6. I bought this XX large size and it fit over the stock Nikon lens hood perfectly. I think if you got the smaller size, it would be a tight fit and you would risk breaking the fragile plastic attachments of the lens hood after repeatedly trying to remove it.

Purchased a used Canon EF 400mm f/4 L DO IS lens that was missing the the cap. This is a great replacement, that seems much more functional and an upgrade over the one from Canon in almost every way.

It fits nicely and I'm much more confident that the front glass of my Canon 200 2.0 is protected when a hood is on. It doesn't cover the hood as much as the original Canon's hoodie. It slips over the lens very snugly, so it's very unlikely you'll loose it.I chose this particular pattern to match the corresponding Realtree AP Snow Lens cover. I was a little hesitant to choose it, since the pattern of this hoodie on the Amazon image looked different from that of the lens cover. However, it looks pretty much the same.

You'd think with the chunk of change you put in for a fast glass, the lens designers would at least give you a decent lens cap. Well to be fair, the Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 AF-S VR does have boot-sock thing that covers the hood and the lens pretty well. However, during those times where I'd like to be more discrete, I'd leave the hood off -- and would bring the cumbersome sock in case I need to cap the front element.Enter the LensCoat Hoodie. Fits the front element like the proverbial glove. Snug, but not too tight. (Won't fit the hood though). The neoprene has a pleasant bounce and springiness to it - plus the hard center is reassuring when you need to rest the lens via it's substantial front glass. I just wish the pull tab had a little more area that I could grab on to. Otherwise, it's good value for money.I was originally looking at another third party brand for a lens cap, but at close to $50, I wasn't too sure I wanted to go that far. After the lens, comes the capacity ball head, the lens foot & plate, better legs, bags, storage etc. etc...So maybe that $50 doodad can wait. Meantime, Mr LensCoat will keep watch.
