actually quite a good guitar, the main strings that come on it by default will break after 2 weeks or so if your using it for its electric guitar purposes, and i saw a little but of a scrape at the bottom of the guitar neck but not visible unless your looking for it specifically. it has a very nice feeling main body and it incredibly light weight but it doesn't feel like chesp trash. it sounds very nice too, any beginner would love this no doubt, for anyone more advanced i could see getting this just to have fun with at home or have it in your room, its really cool. but definitely have some higher quality strings ready. personally id almost buy another one just because i think it's a really great guitar but i think the company should do more quality control with a brand new product. also its not easy to rest on your lap but thats by design, you need a strap! leaning on a bed or something is a good way to play this because of the large triangular body. man it looks cool though.

Most guitars need a setup. At the least, you've got to adjust the action, right? So that was the case with this Swifter (that's the spelling on the headstock) - I had to give the neck some relief (although the action out of the box was actually fine for me), and at that point, it was adequate, especially at this price. It does have some issues though. The fretboard was seriously dirty (fine, you can clean it, which I did), at least one of the plastic ferrules came out easily when I changed the strings, the nut needed a little filing, and the frets were not level and I had to file, crown, and polish them. Also the output jack was so tight I thought at first there was something stuck in there, but nope, it's just not manufactured well. I'm not sure about the tuning machines yet - I could go either way on those - and probably a better bridge. That retaining clip might be vibrating a little and making some noise. The high-gloss neck is not my preference, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. I also wouldn't say no to a tone knob, but simple is OK too. Now, all that said, aside from a setup (and you can adjust the truss rod yourself, as long as you're careful, because I believe they include the allen wrench you'd need), you don't *have* to do anything to this guitar. I didn't absolutely need to level the frets - it was as good as many budget guitars just after the neck relief. Tone chasers might want to replace the pickups, but I have no plans to do so. Everything is functional, I like the Jackson-esque inlays, the reverse headstock, the extra cutaway on the body at the treble side ; it sounds good, it's easy to play, and it's just fun. The shape is awesome, and unlike traditional Vs, that lower horn is not bouncing off my thigh, and it just looks really cool.Three stars is an honest assessment (and does not mean I don't like it), but at this price, it's a rock solid purchase.

I have been playing guitar since 1970, I started collecting guitars in the late 70s I even custom built a dozen I made to sell. I am open to buying any brand guitar as long as I read/see reviews online, thru Youtube or being able to try them in person. I have been burnt a few times by taking reviews seriously but the issues are always something minor I can fix but the guitars did not live up to the hype and people who can't fix them will not care for them. I got my first Leo Jaymz Monsoon not long ago and I was blown away by the construction, playability and sound. If I didn't know of the brand andI tried one in a shop IMO if the guitar was ten time the cost I would have thought it was a good guitar. Well, when I saw this on Youtube I just had to have it. I love Vs and other pointy guitar shapes. I stayed home the day it was to be delivered and could not wait to take it out of the box. I went over it with a fine tooth comb and not ONE SINGLE flaw in the build, the finish is top notch the frets polished and rounded intonation almost perfect! Had to wait until later to plug it in and when I got home that was the first thing I did. WOW Just as good as the Monsoon truthfully I don't thing it could have been better. I have another Leo Jaymz I want in the future the Tempest part wood and resin just not sure what color combo I will get. I have bought many made in China guitars and they have all been exceptable with some tweaking, rewire or pick up swaps, These Leo Jaymz need nothing except to change the strings to the brand you like. I think anyone that gets one won't be disappointed I know I am not.
