Both the10x42 and 12x50 hold well. Better then the little 1/4-20 post mount. I have the clamp mounted on a Vortex High Country tripod. My smaller Leupold 10x42 had to be clamped in with the tension tripod handle pointing forward to allow more room to look through the binocular. I would buy again.
