Tenía mucho tiempo queriendo un buen song book de Le Mis, y aunque dude mucho me decidí por éste. Está muy bien tanto la voz como el piano son ligeramente más fáciles, las tesituras quedan muy cómodas para todos, se me hizo más fácil que las versiones de musical. Aparte la edición es muy bonita con muchas fotos de la película.

La relación calidad precio del libro es excelente. El nivel de las obras es para pianistas de nivel medio-alto. Me faltaron alguna obras que me hubiera gustado tener, pero las que están me encantan también. Las calidad del papel es excelente y las fotos, la verdad es que me sobran, porque solo me interesa la partitura, pero bueno, tampoco estorban. En definitiva, lo recomiendo con todas las letras.

This book contains most of the songs from the movie, with piano, vocals, and guitar chords. It is an exceptionally high-quality publication, including photographs and a summary of the development of the cinematic version of the book. The arrangements for piano are excellent --about an intermediate skill level. I think an "advanced beginner" would have to work on the pieces some in order to play them, and an intermediate player could almost sightread the songs, perhaps needing just a little practice on some songs. A more advanced player could sight-read them easily, yet the arrangements are so well-done that even the advanced player would enjoy them. The title "Selections from the Movie" indicates that the book does not include all songs, but it surely seems comprehensive to me. My guess is that the only songs left out are a few that did not translate well into a piano arrangement. All of the memorable songs seem (to me) to be in the book. (Here is a tip: if you want a recording of the music, compare the cost of the DVD to the CD set; the DVD of course has ALL the music, the CD leaves some out, and the DVD might even be cheaper.)

This book has not only provided the music for some of my favorite les miserables songs, but it also provides a cool explanation on how they put the music together. I enjoy working with the sheet music by using the notes from the music, and then putting in the rubato that the musicians in the 2012 production of the movie used. I love this music because it opens a door for the performer to interpret the music how they think best fits the meaning of the song.

Has almost all of the best songs, and of the ones it's missing, you at least have the tunes included (for example, One Day More is not in the book but given it's a amalgamation of the other tunes, they're all here). Difficulty level varies between songs, and with a little imagination the songs can be played as someone would actually sing them. Pretty good transcription given they're full orchestral works.

I have the music of Les Miserables from the Broadway play. After seeing the movie, I had to find a copy of the song Val Jean Val, sings to Cossette. I bought this book, just for that one song, "Suddenly", and I was not disappointed. It is a very hauntingly beautiful song, and I love to play it over and over. I also enjoyed the color photos of the cast.

I love this book! It is challenging enough for me that I won't get bored with the songs (I've taken piano for 4 years), but it's not too hard that it's not fun to work on.I love that they included the new song "Suddenly" in with all of the others! Some of my favorites to play from this book are "I Dreamed a Dream," "A Heart Full of Love," "On My Own," " A Little Fall of Rain," and "Do You Hear the People Sing." Each of the songs are very realistic to the movie, and they are all so beautiful. The lyrics are very accurate as well.One thing that I wish were in this book is the song "One Day More" and the "Epilogue." There are some songs that I wish they could replace with those two.Definitely buy this book! It is wonderful and very well done.

This book has a great selection of solo songs, but very few of the ensemble pieces. Would've liked to have seen Lovely Ladies, One Day More, Cafe Song, and the finale version of Do You Hear the People Sing, and the Valjean/Javert duet from early in the show. Also, Javert's two solo numbers, Stars and his suicide piece, the former is inexplicably incomplete and the other is missing entirely. two numbers It was great to have the new songs for the movie included. Otherwise, the arrangements are good and accessible.

I believe this was the one book that included all of the songs from the movie. The piano music played the full melody and so the music was always recognizable while it is played by just one instrument. I'm guessing this is an intermediate level with challenges of those songs that included multiple sharps and flats. There are also full page solo photos of these key actors which brings you back to the memory of who actually sang the particular songs. My favorite piano book of all time.

I had to order this since I already have the Broadway score. I wanted to see if there were any differences in scoring, and I also just wanted it for the pictures.It includes a song not included in the play. The arrangements are the original Broadway arrangements, which is really great.

quality made music book with some photos clear written music for more advanced/experience player lovely music, as a player the only problem is turning the page while playing.
