But, it didn't fix my hinges... So, The door still leaked at the top and the door was still sprung. I will give 2 stars because, it did raise my door. Lol!!! I was just sitting in my truck with my door opened... And I realized!.. Now, My bottom hing is bent the same as the top! But, if you chose to buy this handle... Be gentle!!! Because, it will Not bend back! Okay, is all I got. good luck!

I just installed and then aligned two doors on one side of a car with this tool. Although many people refer to using it to bend the door (hinges) slightly, and it is certainly a strong tool for that purpose, the other use is simply as an effective lever to align the door while tightening the bolts attached to the hinges. In some cars, the hinges will be bolted to both the door and to the car's body, while in others, one side (door or body) may be welded into place. Depending on their orientation, loosening the bolts may allow you to easily adjust the door position without bending anything: up/down + left/right if there are bolts on the side of the car or up/down + in/out if they're on the front side of the door. This tool allows easy larger manipulation of the door's position when installing it and tightening the bolts on the hinges, and it can be used to make small adjustments by applying pressure to bend the door's mount slightly after installation.

Totally bent out of shape on first use, deformed in 2 places, made of very soft metal and a poor design. Because it bent out of shape, it twisted and dug into the body of the car in the door shut and the door and has caused quite a bit of damage.Avoid like the plague!!!

Purchased for use on my 88 Ford Ranger, however the prongs were to small to fit into the bushing of my door latch, ultimately tapping the latch with a 5# sledgehammer fixed my issue, as it is more adjustable than the door (Lesson Learned). This product is a universal tool for door aligning on most cars and trucks that do not have a center post latch. This product has a considerable amount of weight to it and will not bend or tweak easily, This tool can be used for lifting and prying where appropriate and should last a lifetime.

A "door hinge adjuster" is nothing more or less than a lever to bend your vehicle hinges to allow bringing the door into alignment. This isn't just a matter of aesthetics: if your door is out of alignment, it causes accelerated wear to the hinges and latch. With the right tool, adjusting the door takes only a few minutes. Replacing hinge pins can take an hour (and replacing the hinges at home can be a nightmare, requiring cutting the hinge from the door and frame, then welding in a replacement--and then you have to adjust the hinge. . . . ). Replacing the latch often takes an hour and a few cuts to the hands and wrists as you reach into the door and around a couple of corners. So, we're going to bend the door hinges--but the lever we use has to attach to the door and frame in some manner, or it just slides (and inflicts more damage) when you try to bend. The standard approach and the one used here are a pin that fits into the door latch and an end that goes over the pin on the frame the door latches to. Then you basically just lift the door, then remove the tool and check fit, repeating as needed while trying to not go too far. This tool is solidly made (actually, it is probably more-solid than a couple of professional-grade tools I've used for this). The lever arm is thicker than expected, and wider, reducing the likelihood of bending it. The pin fits the door latch well, and is solidly attached to the lever arm. The end is a good fit to the door latch pin.The tool works as designed: with care, you can adjust the door hinges to raise the latch-side of the door until it properly engages the latch pin. Just remember that it is better to make several tries and gradually adjust the hinges than to make one big effort and go too far!

The tool is pretty much one solid piece of metal, materials used are pretty solid and of good quality, the use of the tool is more intended for the DIYer or body shop repairing doors or aligning them to close correctly, the tool slides into the latch and grabs on to the inside of the door well acting as if the door was closed, giving access to adjust the screws and aligning it, the tool works well, the only flaw I found is if working by yourself the tool is a bit uncomfortable to use as the grip that is provided is very thin and can dig into your hand, we added some pieces of rubber on each side and wrapped it with black tape and worked wonders, besides that it is a great tool to have, especially when having older vehicles ! Not bad for the price.
