We use this switch to disconnect all three power wires to our church Sound-system. The hot, the ground, and the neutral. After the console got cooked via a power strike through the neutral wire, this switch alleviates that by disconnecting all three wires when it's turned off.

I have been buying these switches locally for my commercial washers for many years at a much higher price. They are WELL built and the DS designation (Stands for Disconnect Switch)that was added to this model # a couple of years ago makes me feel better and safer to continue using them for this purpose. I have never had one fail yet.
