Bought to replace another solar pump for an outside fountain. This works OK -- as soon as the panel is in the shade, the fountain no longer works. It does not seem to have a "reserve" charge where my previous pump might have run an entire day if it were cloudy before the charge expired. This needs to be constantly in the sun. So, for me, this is an OK pump.

I like that the cord to the solar panel is long enough that it doesn't have to be right next to the bubbler I made. Not a strong pump, but good enough for a small fountain/bubbler.

Note that there is no battery so it will not work after the sun goes down

In full sun this little fountain lasts a very long time, and in my yard, which is shady , I get a solid four hours of spray from the sunlight it receives. I’ve had this thing for almost 4 years and it just keeps going!

Purchased 2 to create two small fountains on the decking of our caravan. They fitted the purpose perfectly. I used two 20 inch flower pots and they were easy to fit and work fine in the sunshine, as described.

This solar power pump works really well! This is best used in a water feature and probably not to power an actual small pond that has fish, and I'll tell you why.First of all this is a solar power pump...meaning it will only run as long as it is getting direct sunlight. After the sun goes down the pump stops, on gloomy days it may not be enough to power the pump. So if you have fish this may not be in your best interest. I know fish can come to the surface to get air and in our Huge pond we have been without power for an extended period of time, but ideally this is not the environment you want for fish. The solar panel is quite large and does take a charge fairly quickly. I charged mine a few hours in the sun and used it later that afternoon. The pump is small, and only 1 speed, not adjustable. With just the pump itself running on the solar power it functions mainly as a bubbler and bubbles about 1 inch or so above the outlet. When you add the attachments for the fountain pieces then the pump powers the water much higher. This pump would be great for a table top feature or a flowerpot size fountain, or birdbath.Very long cord connection that unscrews if needed. Easy to bury the cord as well.I have this powering a cascading flower pot fountain with no issues. This was meant to use an electric pump that came with it and I removed that pump and used this pump instead due to a/c power plug restraints.I received this item complimentary for testing purposes. My opinions are my own and I was not compensated in any way for my thoughts.
