To anyone mechanical, a universal joint joins two shafts and flexes to compensate for any difference or operational changes in the angles of those two shafts in relation to one another. This item doesn’t flex any more than zero to barely at all. It’s a coupler. It’s not a universal joint and it’s deception to sell it as that.

The rubber in the middle is fairly hard, so this won't allow for much mismatch in alignment. I'm using them on a pair of jet drives that originally had a solid aluminum coupler. I'm getting a few hundred rpm more to the prop now than before, and the vibration noise is almost eliminated.
