I can't dunk, not even close. Who can? Almost no one, right? So why do all Lifetime systems come with springy complex dunk-proof hoops? This is a replacement for one of those, needed 2 aftermarket bolts to attach it but it's up there and works great.

When my rim broke, I honestly couldn’t believe it. Especially considering it had only been used for a year and some change. By comparison, I got a hoop for Xmas when I was 4. Extremely heavy use daily, including dunking, until I was 16-17. Never had to replace the rim. Zero issues with it. They truly don’t make stuff like they used to.For what it is, it works. Installation is a little more complicated than it needs to be, as some of the areas you need to get to are hard to reach. Took me around 25-30min by myself. Would definitely recommend having someone help you if you can. Would be much easier.It’s been durable so far, but considering the original only lasted a year and some change, I don’t expect this one to fair all that much better. Unfortunate, but that’s the world we live in nowadays. Great, well-made products last too long. More profitable for companies to make passable to decent products that break fairly quickly.

This is made of real steel and its heavy. so if you plan to hang on to some drywall, please think twice. it comes with nuts and bolts to install. I ended up installing on to a drywall inside my garage. (due to association rules) what i did was fix this onto a 2(1X2)s, fix a 2X4 on to drywall.then install couple of heavy guage hooks to 1X2's and hang this to the 2X4. to protect the drywall, i used few furniture pads that i got from costco to stick to the 1X2s.I know this is not ideal setup, but my daughter is only 7 and doesnt use a real basket ball. i will post pictures so it helps my description.

A slam dunk of a product! Very solid, and it came with a net. Really solid, sturdy and easy to attach. It also came with mounting hardware, which was helpful. I actually used this for my daugher's pumpkin decorating contest at her school - she decorated a pumpkin as a basketball, and I took the rim and net and mounted it to a 5 gallon bucket (with sand bags inside). She wants me to put it up in the driveway or on the side of the house later.

This is a very sturdy rim and I am so glad I bought it. The back board has been empty for a couple of years after we removed a badly bent rim. It looks so nice and new now, I wonder why I waited so long.

To preface, this is a replacement rim for a pool-side basketball goal; therefore, it is routinely wet. This rim is solid, durable and cleanly fits the backboard mount. This is the second one I have purchased on Amazon; it's been my experience that the rim lasts about three years before exposure to water and elements (located in Southeastern U.S.) causes rust and paint flakes to begin falling in the pool water.Despite overall satisfaction, I would hesitate to purchase this item as refurbished again. The shipment was not inspected and half the bolt hardware was missing. Amazon issued a small credit (I also had the option to return for free), so it was a satisfactory resolution for a minor inconvenience.It's worth mentioning that the 1 star deduction was due to the three year lifespan. My pool is not saltwater, so I was a bit surprised at the amount of rust within three years. Overall, still a good product for the price though.

replaced school side rims with this product. Seems as well constructed as the 40yr old commercial product it is replacing. Great value.
