Works great! Came with good instructions and everything needed to mount on the wall. Really nice having a WiFi thermostat.

I bought this thermostat 3 months ago. First I didn’t even catch that it was refurbished, it was like new. The installation was very easy, I did that without any help of electrician (I don’t have any knowledge about electricity). All this 3 months, it is working stable, without any problems. I don’t know how, but after installing it started to blow the air 2 times more powerful, in both cooling and heating. Set up was really easy, took about 5 minutes, the only thing you should know, on which type of fuel runs your HVAC system, like gas, electricity or something else. In Amazon Alexa app you can set up a routine, like “set the thermostat on heat on 74 degrees”. You can also change Fahrenheit’s to Celsius, really comfortable for people from Europe. App is working fast and smooth, thermostat is always responsive, haven’t seen anything like “no response” in this 3 months.

Easy to setup, fast installation and compatible with WiFi. Fast connect using phone app and compatible with most furnaces. Might need a c-wire adapter like I installed. Heat levels of screen or low or non existent. Screen touch is easy to learn and app is convenient. I feel more in charge of the temperature and comfort of my home while I'm at work.

I hate the term refurbished. it may mean something with refrigerators, or car parts. but with such electronics, it is a non-term. Why? because there is nothing to refurbish. Such devices have no replaceable parts. I finally got one of the many refurbishers to explain to me how they refurbish such equipment. In this case it was a motherboard, which again has no replaceable part. They admitted that all they can do is clean it up, make sure all the sockets work, and it posts. I am sure it is a similar process for all such electronics.Most of the time when electronics are returned and there is no obvious flaw, they are intermittent or one of many functions may not work. And refurbishers NEVER check all of the functions! Such was the case with this thermo. It seemed to work OK, and, yes it was wired correctly, but the cooler never came on. everything else worked well.Contacted Amazon, they sent out another one, this time just plain used, like new. Plugged it in, boom! everything worked. Went back and forth a couple of times (is just a plug in mounting) just to make sure and the results were the same. New one worked, this one didn't.Just wanted to put a bit of clarity out there...

Installation itself was fairly easy and the thermostat is of a high quality and looks sleek. The software though is a different story. Using the Alexa app to get the thermostat connected to my wifi was much harder than the physical installation. After that was resolved (thermostat can only connect to 2.4Ghz); I finally got to using it. There needs to better options for scheduling/automation.Alexa hunches does not work great - it doesn't start my 'Sleep' schedule when I got to bed and sometimes switches to 'Away' when I am actually sleeping. Sometimes it stays in 'Sleep' mode even though I am awake. Just not great. The scheduling works a lot better but it removes all the automation altogether. I have shared my location with the app but since it runs on a schedule it will not look to see that I have left the house and therefore will not change to 'Away' mode. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a 'smart' thermostat.

I’d been holding off on buying this thermostat for quite some time based on reviews and even considered other pricier brands for the same reason but I finally decided to give it a try because I’m sick of having to go over to the thermostat and manually adjust it (first world problem right?)I am so pleased with my decision that immediately after installing it, I bought this renewed unit to replace our second thermostat upstairs.Installation was easy and took about 15-20 minutes to install and set up in the app. The unit mounts with 3 screws and anchors, a small screwdriver tool and an optional wall plate. A word of advice - use a better screwdriver because the included tool isn’t great. You’ll also need a drill with a 3/8” bit to assist with the wall anchors.This renewed unit is just as good as the new one I purchased at half the cost! It came with new mounting hardware and when comparing side by side, I could not tell you which one was which. I’d absolutely make the same decision to purchase the renewed unit again.Some of the reviews I’d read in the past mentioned that people had trouble with the app recognizing two thermostats, that was not the case at all with me. It was extremely easy to differentiate in the app and just as easy to control each one.Another review that made me worry about buying this thermostat was that you couldn’t simply tell your Alexa device to adjust the temperature, and that you had to open the app to make adjustments. This problem must have been resolved or a solitary issue because ours works just fine with voice commands.This thermostat does not offer a sensor option to monitor a particular room or area, so if you’re looking for that, you may need to look at other options.As far as smart settings, you have two options. Alexa can learn your routines and track your phone’s location to adjust the temperatures accordingly when you’re home or away. This works best when everyone in the household connects to the app and consents to tracking. It will even adjust the temperature to your desired settings when you’re within a certain range of your home.If this option isn’t for you, it will allow you to set schedules and desired temperature ranges throughout each day of the week. But you’re still able to log into the app and make adjustments when needed.
