I have been a promphograher/videographer for over 50 years. I thought I was buying a great bargain, but it is not. The materials and construction are very good. The problem lies in the white fabric sewn to the black backing. That white fabric is translucent with fabric used ina translucent umbrella whic would not have a black backing. So what you end up with is a grey umbrella since the light passes through the white fabric and reflects from the black. That is what pros call a light sink. It just reduces the brightness to an unusable point. Unfortunately I did not get the umbrella until the return option expired. It is going in the trash. I wish I has]d ordered the silver one instead.

If a 4 stop loss of light is what you are looking for, look no farther. If you actually need to bounce the output of your flash look elsewhere .This umbrella is completely defeated for its intended use by the fact that the white liner is so profoundly thin that the reflective surface approaches a middle gray.Construction is decent but the metal ribs mean this annoying product won't be used for long.Just don't buy this unless it's raining and an umbrella with a handle is unavailable.

Umbrella does not have a closing Velcro strap. Would be easy to add.

I have only used it once, but so far it has done the job well. I en would buy another when needed.

This one is alright. It gets the job done and seems to not loose too much light. I would recommend the Ardinbir 43" that's on here, though. It's pretty impressive compared to this one. This one just gets the job done, but that one was pretty awesome.
