My linear keypad is opening the gate fine but not closing it until i put the code again. Im not sure what am i doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Works very well. Just make sure you have a basic understanding of electrical wiring. Also make sure you have the correct mounting post so that the mounting bracket aligns properly.

Awesome unit. I am so glad I decided to spend the extra money and get this, compared to the garbage I was considering. This thing is tough, and you can just tell it is made from quality. Works great, and well designed. The buttons beep as you press them, and light up to so you can see in the dark.Nice unit.

UPDATE (08/06/2017)It's been over a year and the keypad had gone through a whole wet winter in Northern California. It's still working fine. The only correction to the design I will perform is replacing the useless overhead keypad light with an LED one. The default light is very poor even in the darkest of light. I love products that are well-built.===========================================================Aluminum cast casing, powder coated, lock&key. Looks really sturdy. I will update on longevity. The last keypad I had lasted 15 yrs. I bought the Heddolf M330-1KA which lasted 6 months. I hope this guy will last longer.If you purchased one, here is the crux to programming, if you made a programming error, exit programming mode then re-enter programming mode. When you are done programming, remember to exit programming mode before testing the programmed code. (The instructions were poorly written and I saw that many people had to call support to get help with the programming.) Fortunately, I am a programmer and know how other programmers think when they designed the user interface.I'll update longevity on 6 months basis (when I remember).

The first one I received did not function properly. When the programming mode was exited, the LED did not turn red to indicate it was ready to accept my key code. Instead, the light turned green indicating it was receiving data entry. I sent it back to Amazon in exchange for another new one, and this one worked as it should. When Amazon replaced the faulty keypad, it cost me nothing. When ordering electronic equipment you should keep in mind that things don't always work right even when new. Even if you can buy it somewhere else for a little less than at Amazon, their exchange policy on electronics pays off.I'm not a shill for Amazon, and I don't own any of their stock (unfortunately). I'm just a satisfied customer.

The AK-11 is a rugged keypad, that stands up to constant use for years. Programming is not too difficult, but near every functionality you would need is available. The only thing I wish were different is that the lighting was LED and not provided by a small incandescent bulb. We have 2, and have used them solely in our environment for at least a decade. One of ours, after good number of years, had the keys start to stick, and soon after the unit stopped working (The other one is still going strong!). Without hesitation, we replaced it with another AK-11. The price here on Amazon was good. The product came in perfect condition, genuine packaging, and operates as exceptionally well as we expected. We look forward to many years of use from this product.

These keypads work great! Even up here in Wisconsin where the weather is horrible in the winter they hold up very well! Our electrician was selling these to us for our Mini Storage company's gated entrances for almost twice as much! Now I was able to buy three of them to have an extra one on hand just in case.

This will be my second keypad of this exact unit that I have used at my self storage facility which supports 150+ customers. So, it has got plenty of use over the years. It's done great, but a customer with a very long trailer accidentally sideswiped it, thus the reason I'm needing to get another one. Programming isn't so bad, but it does take a lot of keystrokes to program in one code. Try doing 150! But the instructions are easy to follow, and one shouldn't have any trouble. It takes me about one hour or so to program in all 150. Although it says 480 codes can be programmed into it, you get your choice of some 10,000 codes to pick from using four digits. Just a great, solid, reliable, very affordable keypad that I've used outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. In freezing rainy weather, it is a good ideal to cover it, otherwise keypads will get stuck. With my automatic gate, there are only a few wires you need to hook up to it. I couldn't be happier with this keypad.UPDATE March 12, 2016: Not too long after I wrote the original article, I was able to fix the keypad which just had a broken case, so I put it back in. So 17 years and still going strong. Use this new one as just a backup now, although the original will probably outlast me.

Good product, works well, a little confusing at first to get the programing, but after that it was a breeze. This is the second one I bought and the first lasted about 8 years before it went dead. Would buy it again as it is sturdy and you can program 480 code and delete the one you want.
