Wish I had got something slightly thicker (100% my fault I wasn't thinking about how much this would squish) its dense and soft and 2"thick.Size / dimensions on ad are accurate.It was clean and packed nicely. No chemical smell or anything. With weight it does squish into about half the plush, but is very soft and comfortable.Was also easy to cut with a box knife!Would buy for another project.

Unpackaging this slab of upholstery foam is It's like watching "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids", but in reverse. It comes in an impressively small box, which makes you think that maybe they sent the wrong size, but fear not, it slowly grows and grows until it reaches full size.The foam appears to be decent quality, and the price was a third of a local fabric shop.

Bought this foam to redo my dining room chairs, gave me 4 chairs pads, mind you my chairs are odd size (20 inch bottom and 16inch above) my set is 6 chairs so will have to buy another one but for now 4 is enough. I tried cutting with a retractable blade but it was not cutting nicely, a knife did a better job for the size (2inch foam). I received t this morning and took it out to decompress, no odour at all (I was surprised often it smells chemicals) one of my cats discovered it and went to town with his claws jumping on it and stuff (maybe he was possessed?) So I guess itnis cat approuved? Firm for sitting, I am 200lbs and it is comfortable to sit on (glad I went with the 2 inch instead of the 1inch.It has creases after decompression still, do not lay fully flat but for what I need it for it is fine. My upholstery material is thick so the creases won't show.

Excellent quality, I did not acclimatise properly so it was not fully plumped when I stuffed it into the upholstery cover. Better fit after day 2.

We cut the foam with an electric knife and put pieces of it in our reclining couch seats. This set was purchased almost 10 years ago and it feels brand new again! Definitely recommend if your couch seats are getting a little worn down.

After researching and educating myself on furniture foam I decided the 2.8 lb / 40 lb compression was best for reupholstering our dining room chairs, and I was right. This is a much better foam than you get at the fabric store for sure and the cost is less than their lower grade foam. I'm very handy and saw the quality right off and without reservation can recommend this as 5 starsWell packaged / compressed but overnight it was 100% expanded, and we did our first chair today... Just perfect. Buy with confidence.

I was able to insert the foam in an older recliner and restore the cushions to like new comfort. Rather than buy a new recliner this was a cheaper and more customizable solution. I used an electric carving knife to cut and trim the foam.

Cons: The 2 inch foam does not expend to full 2 inch! It comes vacuumed packaged and takes time to expand but mine expended to only 1.5 inch. So order up the thicknesses if you need the exact measure.Amazon does not want to take it back. Customer service asks to put it back in the box which is impossible if the product was vacuumed sealed on arrival and now is expended. Obviously doesn't fit back in the small box!Pros: The high density is nice 👌

Perfect fit for a recliner-sized couch. The thickness was just enough to add comfort and support to my old couch, giving it some life. Since I cannot afford a new couch, this is the perfect solution. I don't even feel any of the metal bars or springs from my couch anymore (it's pretty old!). It's been a few months and it's still holding up so far!
