My dental hygienist recommended this mouthwash for tooth sensitivity. I researched reviews and also check the Listerine website. Yes, I can positively say this mouthwash does improve sensitivity.

Does a good job of reducing sensitivity but it's definitely not my favorite flavor, and I say that as someone who likes most kinds of mint. It makes my poor partner, who needs it most, want to hurl. While it doesn't affect me that badly, it's nevertheless unpleasant compared to other more tolerable mint mouthwashes and so I have to deduct a point on those grounds.

This mouthwash seems to be working to help my sensitive teeth. However, the taste of this is terrible. Nothing like I've ever used before. I usually use the purple listerine and while it's strong it tastes good. This has a very strange and not good taste. It does the job though just not sure I can bring myself to keep using it.

I was a bit skeptical when I read on the label that this is clinically proven to reverse tooth sensitivity, but when I dug a little into the science behind it, it makes sense. It also helped seeing that this is from Listerine (Johnson and Johnson would get in big trouble if they made this claim and couldn't back it up). It's also made in Canada, which is a big plus in my book. Here's how it works. The active ingredient in the mouthwash (potassium oxalate) forms a protective barrier over exposed dentin and tubules (tiny channels in your teeth that lead to your nerves). The oxalate crystals penetrate the tubules and seal them off, which prevents pain signals from being triggered. With continued use the protective layer can actually become more robust, which backs up their claim of "reversing tooth sensitivity".This particular version doesn't have fluoride, which would have helped strengthen enamel and further strengthen the tooth. Not sure why they left it out.I tried it and almost immediately felt my molars, which tend to be sensitive to cold air, a lot less so. It's only been a short while, so I don't know if this will really last, but early indications are good.I actually like that the liquid is clear—I'd actually rather not have anything to do with green or blue coloring. The taste is a little different than traditional Listerine: instead of an overpowering punch of mint, it starts out as almost a mild fruity flavor (not pleasant but not too unpleasant either), and then you feel the mint kick in a few seconds in. After a minute you spit it out (by then it's turned white and foamy). The feeling after spitting it out is fresh, but with a slight aftertaste of the artificial sweetener (sorbitol). Nothing too unpleasant, and your breath does smell nicer—again, not as overpowering as regular Listerine. My only gripe has to do with the packaging. It seems they missed a simple opportunity by not putting markings on the cap to let it serve as a measuring cup. And the label was almost impossible to "peel here" to view the information on how it works. All minor things of course, so I won't dock them any stars for that.If you have sensitive teeth, you're going to want to give this a shot. Set your expectations accordingly—there are no miracle cures, but if you have mild tooth sensitivity that's not caused by tooth decay, you might be pleasantly surprised at this one.

My dentist recommended this brand and it really does help with sensitivity, even when I only use it once a day. And thankfully it does not taste like wintergreen which I have a deep aversion to. No alcohol so it doesn't burn. Will continue to buy.
