Pump only worked 3 months then made a squealing sound and eventually stopped working. It is supposed to be under a 12 month warranty but upon contacting the mfg they were going to replace it. But when I sent my screenshot of my order they said I had to contact the company that shipped it. I did and they said I had to return it and purchase another one. I said I simply wanted a replacement like the mfg was going to do. They told me they couldn’t do that but the pump is now $30 more than what I paid. I did return using their return label UPS and it was delivered 8/22/24. I have heard nothing and no refund! Terrible service!!!!!

We've used this brand and model in our backyard pond for many years -- and worn out several. They are well made and easy to handle.

Just like my old one… only when I tried buying another one, it wouldn’t let me. Disappointing and confusing. Why send it to a physical address the first time but not the second? Makes no sense.

This little pump is a beast! We have a water issue in our commercial shop when it rains really hard. We have this lil dude hooked up to a 100 ft hose in a "catch ditch" in the concrete to the outside and a float trigger. Set it an ferrrget it! Great pump!

A household must have! This is my second one in a decade. I use this to empty my pool and when my basement flooded. Every household should keep it on hand.

old pool cover pump eventually died after 25+ years (my fault, pulling on power cord) - bought this to replace it since little giant was so reliable (will see on new one). so far:1. the base filter is NOT exactly the same bolt pattern (very close) so had to re-drill (and tap to get 1/4" 20 thread back in) event though unit looks the same. the current 505000 version (also bought) is an exact copy of my old one so I was able to swap parts there. it is also taller (different blades ?)2. no markings whatsoever (is Little Giant ashame of this one?) only cord label say stats and "made in china" (505000 is made in mexico) my old one was made in USA (of course, hence the 25+ years it lasted ?)3. newer PCS (Permanent Split Capacitor) engine rated at 220 watts vs 380w for 505000 (older Shaded Pole Motor) listed at 5A (that would be 600w?) like my original motor for similar flow - this alone will be reason I will keep.4. rated at 1500gph vs 1200gph (505000 model) but it was actually slightly slower at filling a 5g bucket up a hill 18ft above (57sec vs 54sec so 3%) - but since it used almost 1/2 the energy I'm ok with that5. "hydroponic" version (was on sale) has 4 propeler blades, vs 2 on 505000 utility pump or my old one. Given the mesh filer I don't expect too much debris to affect it. will see.my old motor would frequently shutoff due to running hot (likely all that rust after 25y usage) so hopping that new 220w design runs a lot cooler than even the newer 380w version (very different motors) which will help when I need to push water up a hill (sould add a check valve) and not just pool cover.reliablility is big Q - made in china vs original one US vs mexico for 505000 (older motor design).
