I spent all day tracking my package so it wouldn’t be left outside and I could open it upon its arrival. When the package arrived I opened the box and the plants looked good so I didn’t think anything of it. I cut open the plastic packaging the plants came in and out of 3 bunches maybe 2 stems kept their leaves. As soon as I picked up the bulbs all the leaves came off.I bought plants from 3 different companies and these arrived in the worst condition. The company does have a live plant guarantee but requires pictures before opening. It’s my fault for not taking pictures before I opened them because they looked fine from a visual inspection of the packaging.

I would not recommend. I saw the mixed reviews and felt it was worth taking a chance on. I tend to have a green thumb, but aquatic plants are new to me. None survived. I put them in the gravel medium at the bottom of the aquarium as I’ve done with our other aquarium plant- the green healthy one in the picture. Placed a grow tab near but not at its base. The water in my 5gal tank ended up turning an awful dark color and over the next 2 weeks the plant died and fell to pieces. My beta didn’t mind the dark water and thankfully after planting it I moved my healthy plant to the opposite side of the tank. I ended up having to remove all its bits and pieces, clean the filter, and change some of the water out for the tank to reset and look good again. My beta didn’t seem to mind, so thankfully little dude wasn’t negatively impacted. The picture was from right after planting and the second is the very next day, before the water got dark and pieces began to rot off.I didn’t loose much money on the test, and my fish and other plant wasn’t hurt, so it wasn’t a horrible experience. But I’m not purchasing this again.

Item looks NOTHING like the photo. In fact it looks sickly, leaves falling off color awful . I suggest you do not buy from this seller. This was the replacement. You would think the seller would take better care the second time around. I am extremely disappointed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER CANTON AQUATICS! Terrible.

I have previously grown ludwigia repens, which is also "red," but with larger leaves. I don't remember which species this was marked as, but it's clearly a palustris. It is stunning.Don't freak out when it drops a bunch of leaves. All Ludwigias do this when they switch water conditions. It also didn't thrive at first, but that was my mistake. After 3 days I started googling. This thing taught me that Ludwigia desperately needs more iron than most plants, even though it's a stem plant and that would normally be a water column feeder. Give this thing root tabs and plenty of good light, and it will reward you 10 times over. Also, they're really not a background plant. I moved mine to the mid-ground and it was so much happier. Why hide a beauty in the back? Put it in the middle and show it off. Make it a focal point. It's a stunner. Let it shake its plumes like a peacock.

I loved how the plant came nicely packaged. I have had it a short time because my fish loved it and decided to eat the plant. My fish love live plants. I'm going to buy another one in time

It arrived looking dead. The mailer package was really hot. I unpacked and put it in the tank. All the leaves fell off and it's looking pitiful. I'm hoping with some extra care it will start to regrow. In the photo it's the little Potted plant to the left...

I probably didn't have the proper environment for these to grow in as I am not a professional aquarium plant grower. Had to let float under the light for a week till enough roots sprouted to be able to plant in the substrate. Haven't died out yet, but slow to grow for me. Did not do enough research before purchase.

What a wonderful plant! I’m in the Austin area and Amazon notified me that Canton Aquatics is actually local to my area, so that was a plus. The plant arrived nice and fluffy still in a damp pot. There were about 5 or so stems, which wasn’t quite as abundant as the picture shows, but they arrived in *pristine* condition. Leaves were crisp and healthy and roots were sprouting along the stems already. There were instructions to float the plant at the top of the tank, but I put them in a soup container tupperware by the window sill (just to be safe in case there were any pesty hitch-hikers I didn’t want in my tank). After a week, I put them in my tank, and wow is it gorgeous. After a couple weeks I’m already having to trim and make cuttings of this plant because it’s thriving! The color is beautiful and looks so lovely!!!
