So I don't use these for livestock though they would be great at that; I use them for our boots. We live in the PNW and deal with a lot of mud and muck because of all our rain. So after walking through the animal pens heading back to the house can be an issue with the mats trying to get your shoes clean enough. After being disappointed with various mats promising to clean off your shoes I opted to try something different. I mounted one of these next to the steps up to the front porch using a slab I had sitting around from the mill. This gives it plenty of weight to make sure the brush never moves during use. Let me tell you this cleans the muck right off your boots. Now we all can just quick stop at the steps, drag your feet through, and the boots are way cleaner. My deck is staying cleaner, and the mats are actually doing their job and cleaning the little bit left behind. I have no idea how long it will take us to wear one of these out but I've got a second brush waiting to go in it's place when it does someday and all for less than 50$. Super worth it.

I got these for the horses - one of them is always looking for sagebrush to scratch on.When these brushes arrived, they looked good. I wasn't sure what the molly bolts were for - I wouldn't be putting these into a wall that needed them - the horses would scratch them right out of the walls. The curvature of the half cylinder is pretty tight - it's a small semicircle . Not great for putting on big round fence posts, but seemed possible for installing on the corner of a rectangular post. The bolts were pretty hard to drill in with a battery powered drill. But finally got them installed.I've still not seen the horses use the brushes, but I can tell that they use them a bit, since there's long mane/tail hair entwined in the brushes, the horses are getting some use out of them.

My cow is scared of its own shadow most of the time. I added this to a pretty sturdy pillar and she went crazy. It’s funny to watch her use it but she’s a big girl and that sturdy pillar was no match for her. Make sure you put it on an EXTRA sturdy pillar. I wound up pouring a few bags of concrete and a 6x6 and it’s held up pretty good.

Nice thick and big. I use them to scrub my boots off. Something you don't see in the listing but very true -- it's hard to find boot scrapers that are good, durable, and substantial for good scraping.

These scratchers are not as large as some of the advertising pictures would suggest. They're less than 1.5 feet long (16.9") so about the right size for a horse's face. I installed my 2 side by side on the top of my horse's scratching post as I have one horse who really likes face scratching. The screws that come with these are the cheap type that strip easy. I threw them away and installed with long deck screws. I do like the standout color scheme.

This 2-pack of brushes is perfect for horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs. The bristles are firm but gentle, so they really help relieve itching on animals' backs. I’ve used them on my horse, and he seems to love it! The brushes are easy to hold and work well for getting into those hard-to-reach spots. They also help keep the coat clean and shiny. The quality is impressive, and they seem built to last. If your animals are always itching, these brushes are a great solution. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone with livestock.

Our 2 yr old pet piggy was having such an issue with her skin while shedding her hair this summer. She had scaly spots, then sunburn and mounds of dead skin. We bought this and mounted them on the poles in the pen. She LOVES them. IMMEDIATELY used them and had a look on her face that said “thank you!” We also got a piggy brush and skin conditioner. It’s the pink gallon size from Wagoner I believe. That conditioner is the bomb too! Do t pass these scratchers up! They are gold!

These livestock brushes are large and ideal for big animals. Of course I think even a dog or cat would like them! The bristles are stiff so they provide an excellent dig into the fur. They couldn’t be easier to mount into wood and they came with the long screws needed. It takes some time for the animals to discover them so placing them in a familiar place is best.
