I recently bought a new e-bike and the only issue I had was the front brakes. There are several ways to align the brakes so they don't hit the rotor and this is one of them. If you've never used this tool, I would recommend watching a couple of YouTube videos to understand how it works. While it didn't completely fix my front brake, it helped. I'm a novice when it comes to bike repair, but I found this to be an easy tool to use and I'll be keeping it in the bag on my bike. It only takes a few moments to set up and use. I used it several times and each time the brake improved. Every bike is different, but this is an inexpensive tool to have with you. Recommended!

Super simple to use: Loosen your caliper bolts, place this tool on your rotor, rotate your tire until your pads are aligned with the tool, squeeze your brake handle and hold, and then tighten your caliper bolts. Easy to clean and small enough to keep one with your multi-tool. Sure, you can use a couple gift cards/thin plastic to do the job too, but having the right tool is even better. They make great stocking stuffers too!

Might not fit your bike setup. Gets stuck in brake and hard to use.

Move convenient than looking for two pieces of something else to shim with, then cutting it to fit. Necessary, no. Make the job easier & quicker yes., it’s worth the few bucks .

Saw someone building a bike on youtube and quickly identified that this was a really smart tool for getting the rotor to pad gap correct. Removed caliper front and rear on my bike, reapplied blue loc-tite on the bolts, used a pad spreader to make sure caliper pistons were completely compressed back into their pots, slid this over the rotors and reinstalled the caliper with loose caliper bolts. Lightly compressed appropriate brake lever and evenly tightened the caliper bolts. All of irritating rotor to pad rubbing noises went away and brakes even grab consistently and smoothly better. Guessing this will help with evenly wearing pads better as well. Now I'll never have to hope that seeing just the right amount of daylight equals correct caliper installation... and I'll know it is right. Simple product and the correct solution.

This is a great tool and time saver for centering disc brake rotors on my bike. Just loosen the brake base, slide it over the rotor between the brake pads, squeeze the brake and hold it tight with rubber band, then tighten back up the base and your done!

Site description is accurate. These do not “flare out” like one of the name brand models. Hold tight to rotor with caliber loose, slide in, follow tightening instructions, finished with great alignment.
