PERFORMANCE:This rain suit is excellent! For me it has been totally waterproof, and I tested it in multiple torrential rain storms while riding at over 125kms on my motorcycle. I arrived totally dry after about an hour of riding… Although, maybe if you were driving for longer, it could seep a little bit, but I didn’t experience that and I pushed it pretty hard.SIZING/FIT:Initially I ordered a size large, which I fit everything across-the-board in large, but it was too tight wrapped around my gear. Too restrictive for me. It might be OK for hiking, but you gotta go a size up at least if you’re gonna be putting riding gear underneath it. I sent it back and ordered an XX large (two sizes up) and for me, it’s the perfect size for motorcycle riding with gear on underneath. I might have got away with just an extra large sizing, but since I’m using this over my riding gear, I wanted an easy, unrestricted fit. Two sizes up does make the legs a little baggy, but it’s not a big deal for me. It’s fine, but for more aggressive riding I use straps around my calves and it tightens it up nicely.LOOK/FEEL:The first time I ordered the black jacket pair, and then I decided to get the yellow jacket pair instead. So I’ve seen both and they both look great. I prefer the yellow one for me, because in a heavy rainstorm, I’d rather be more visible. The black does look better, but I figured if I’m using it in the rain I’m not, all that concerned with how I look, I just want to be seen. The entire suit is very light, and I find barely even notice it on. I will say that matching a good jacket and pants for a reasonably priced rain suit for motorcycle riding is challenging, but they do a pretty good job with this. The pants could be a little less baggy and longer.CRITICISMS:The pants on the smaller sizes are not long enough. They should all be 34 inch inseams. I’m 6 feet tall and I normally I would wear 32 inch inseam pants for casual wear, but I find with motorcycle riding pants should always be 2 inches longer than normal, and these pants are a little short in length on the Large. With the XX Large the pants are longer, and they fit perfect, which is part of the reason why I went a couple sizes up. The only downside is that the pants are a little bit more baggy than I would prefer at the largest size. Not a big issue, but worth noting.Overall for the price, I give these a five stars. For a lightweight, portable rain suit just to have in a pinch when you’re caught in your rainstorm, riding your motorcycle. These are perfect. I use them over my gear on a rainy day just to make sure that I arrive dry and they do the job.
