Linear ball bearing motion system
Linear bearings are linear motion systems for linear travel in conjunction with cylindrical shafts. Since the load bearing balls are in point contact with the bearing jacket, the balls roll with minimum frictional resistance, so linear bearings have low friction and are relatively stable, do not vary with bearing speed, and can obtain smooth linear motion with high sensitivity and high precision.

For the price these worked really well I just need to make a slider and had no issues with these. Recommended if you need some medium duty roller bearings.

I wanted to use these for a router sled build I was building. I ordered the 16mm size as that seemed to be the standard for this purpose. The Amazon package arrived without any damage to it, but slight damage to small cardboard box these bearings were in. I examined them and they appeared to be fine. Each bearing is in its own baggie with plenty of lubrication oil all over them. I cleaned the oil off the outer surface and noticed that there were small shards of plastic falling out of the bearing cases on two of the four bearings. This was due to poor QC at the factory, but did not affect the bearings performance. I slid them onto the 16mm hardened rod, and they moved freely back and forth. They are a little noisy, but I imagine they would be. Anyway, with the router going you will not hear them. I needed to build carrier blocks for these to go into so that I could mount the rod holders for the other axis. A 1" hole saw did the trick for these to slide in. There is a bit of play, so I threaded a hole for a set screw to lock them in on either side.These bearings worked great for my small trim router but were not heavy duty enough for the big 2 1/4 HP router. They felt like they were being ground down and really made a loud noise. I have ordered an actual linear bearing block and will replace these bearings when that shows up. For now, I am able to use my router sled with my small trim router with these bearings, so I am good for now.If you have a small light weight project for these bearings in mind, I think they will work just fine. The price is good for what you get, and I can recommend this set of linear bearings....
