I was so hopeful these would work, but the grip is just not there. I intended to return these, but took too long. Because I ended up keeping it, I've really tried to get it to work with all the usual tricks. No amount of cleaning my acrylic ruler, applying with water, or making sure it's set on as securely as possible keeps these from popping off after a little bit. They will hold on for a little while, but they just fall off randomly. And I mean within a couple minutes. They're more frustrating than they're worth.

I don’t have nails to help me picking up the rulers I use for cutting fabric when I’m quilting. These small handles are GREAT! They work perfectly and make picking up and moving the ruler so much easier. ❤️

This device will work for about two cuts of fabric then it falls off the ruler. I have a clean, grease free ruler and it still fell off. I put a little moisture on the rubber and it fell off. I had the rubber totally dry and it fell off. It stays in place for about one minute if you set it aside and then the suction is no longer holding it on to the ruler.

I got this to use on the plastic quilters' rulers I use. It sticks like iron and stays stuck without having to recharge the suction thus far...weeks. I've since started to use second one in on metal and plastic fabric cutting templates. Easy on - easy off. They are light and small enough to stick to narrow tools so I no longer have to paw at thin edges to get rulers off the cutting surface. Cheap enough that it's not a cost issue. For my use it is spot on.In the pic below, note that the heavy mark is one inch.
