I have had a Scotch brand thermal laminator for like close to 10 years that I used all the time, but it finally kicked the bucket a few months ago. I’ve been using my parents laminator when I really needed one meaning to buy one but just kept forgetting. So when this because available I figured it would be perfect.Now the original price point of nearly $80 is definitely not worth it in my opinion. But currently it’s under $40 with the sale and coupons which I do think it totally worth it. I’ve never really thought that I needed a paper cutter, but now that I’ve used this one I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner! I love that it’s all in one. It works just as well as my old laminator did and heats up quickly. I think it’s a good choice for someone using it for home use as long as it’s not over $45.

I have a laminator and a paper cutter, but having both together as an all-in-one option is super convenient. This one is my travel set now, and lets me put together small signs and labels on the go.

This laminator is perfect for home use and even some small business use. The added accessories are a real bonus as well. Originally I was only looking for a laminator but found this model that includes a paper cutter as well! All of it really works well! The paper cutter does a great job and makes nice clean cuts on both paper as well as the laminating sheets. The laminator as well has two features, cold and hot. The cold setting is made for film with adhesive already applied to it. The heat feature is, of course, for standard laminating film. I have laminated several items with the laminating film that came with it and it has worked really well. The film that comes with it is not super thick but definitely gets the job done.The package also comes with a few accessories like a hole puncher and a corner rounding tool, which is super handy. The rounding tool makes rounding off the corners of laminated cards super easy. You just insert and push down until it clicks and it cuts perfectly rounded corners, it works on paper too.Overall, it's a great package and will come in super handy around the house.

This thermal laminator is easy to use. It is a great way to preserve my recipe cards since I’m a messy cook. I have various documents I wanted to laminate, and this machine was exactly what I needed. I’m working on printing a group of family recipes to gift to other family members. I've been toying with an idea of creating a collage of family photos for gifts, once I decide just how I wish to display the laminated collages.

This is absolutely fantastic. I purchased it for my professional affairs. This is incredibly user-friendly. One minute to heat up is perfect, in my opinion. I thought the price was steep, but the supplementary features were the deciding factor. It has a tight seal.

Always wanted to have a laminator for the pieces of documentation that we need to protect. It's pretty straight forward to operate and it does it in an efficient manner. Love that it doesn't take up much space.

It took me a while to get to testing this laminator out. Guess I thought it would be more complicated, and I just didn't want to take time to learn something completely new, as I'd never used one before. Sheesh! I shouldn't have procrastinated. Once I was ready to take it out of the box and set it up, of course I'd misplaced the instruction booklet! Thankfully, I found several videos online and was able to learn that the basic functions are very straight-forward.Okay, armed with new knowledge I found several heavy stock paper bookmarks to test out laminating them. Bookmarks are always going to take a beating as you make your way through a book. I was able to put two side by side in a 5x7" pouch and run them through together. Voila - two bookmarks. I cut them out easily with regular scissor. Then I used the included small hole punch tool to put a hole in one of the bookmarks, which had already had a raffia tie on it. (Removed the tie when running through the machine.)Now that I did that little project successfully, I could see making laminated bookmarks as a simple stocking stuffer kind of gift for Christmas. The whole process would be quick and easy. There are so many other ways to use the laminator. I like that as a starter kit they included a large pack of various size plastic sheets.Starting up the machine is simple. Just plug it and and select hot or cold lamination setting. It didn't take very long for the indicator light to turn solid green for hot processing. From there, I just placed the objects I wanted to seal inside, and inserted into the front slot of the machine. There's a very slight humming when the machine is on, but it was absolutely silent as the project piece glided through and came out the far side. The edges were well sealed and ready to trim after a couple of minutes to cool down.My fear factor is gone now. Given some of the sophisticated options on the device, there's more to learn. Basic laminating is a breeze, though.
