I wanted to like this but it has a ratcheting mechanism to CLOSE the cap. It doesn't feel like there's a tight enough seal as the ratchet releases before the cap can be tightened all the way. It seals a bit but I'm not comfortable with that. I know a lot of cars use ratcheting caps but they have a lot more tension and actually seal well. The chrome looks nice at least, but what's the point if it doesn't seal.

Great replacement for the original HD it is high gloss chrome and now at list my gas will not been siphoned from gas tank

Fit my 2003 XL1200C seemingly perfect. As soon as I used it with a full tank at highway speeds, gas began seeping out of the bottom of the cap all over my tank. Took this cap on a road trip and was constantly cleaning gas off of my tank.
