These are really hard to find now so when I saw this I decided to buy 12 of them I like this old fashioned style brake pad but they have the new ones that seems to me don't work as well but everything new usually doesn't work as well as the old ones. They had some bad ones of the old style but I'm hoping these aren't those type anyway they look good they look like the right type and I'm going to be using them in a few months when I finish up with the old ones on my bike

They seem to be pretty good quality & feel a little better than the original ones on the bike they are replacing.

I bought these pads because they were cheap...I thought, what the hell, what can go wrong with such a simple product?These pads have a serious problem: the pads squeal, and I mean loudly. I thought it was a one off problem. I reset the toe in on the brakes. I cleaned the rims with alcohol and fine steel wool. I even abraded the braking surfaces with a file. None of it helped. I replaced these with a better quality pad and the squealing stopped.I tried another set of them again on a different bike and wheel set. Same problem, still squealing.Perhaps I just got a bad batch, but I doubt it. I suspect the quality of the rubber compound used in these pads was never quality tested.Don't buy these unless you want to wake up your entire neighborhood when you apply the brakes.

Basically a case of I should have known better than to expect any quality at this price. My old ones I was replacing worked better than these. Unfortunately they are NOT returnable. I overlooked that detail when I ordered. I wouldn't recommend these for anything but fixing up a very cheap department store bicycle. I gave them 3 stars because bottom line is you get what you pay for.
