This is a piece of flimsy junk! Don't be fooled by the "Alloy steel" description. It bent all over the place while we simply were putting it together. And talk about cheap plastic wheels. The description says that it will hold up to 400 pounds of evenly distributed weight. Seriously? I am expecting it to fall apart under the weight of our helf-filled file cabinet any day now. We paid more than $40 for this. There is a much nicer-looking one with metal wheels and levels on all four corners for less than $30! The only 1 star this deserves is that the size is adjustable, as advertized.Also beware: Some of the 4 & 5-star ratings are not actually for this item! (One even mentions a handy pencil drawer. On a file cabinet base? Not accurate.)

Looks like metal junk from China when it comes out of the box, which is one of those cheap cardboard boxes that only China uses. However, after you get it set up, this little dolly supports a full 4-drawer file cabinet loaded with a ton of heavy folders. So, looks aren't everything. One tip - get a strong piece of plywood or paneling (not drywall)), to put under this dolly if you are placing your file cabinet over carpet.

Product seems to be sturdy enough for home office use but the somewhat warped frame made assembly challenging. Wheels were very dusty and there were numerous areas where paint chipped off metal frame (Even the box was ripped and torn). It was very obvious that the item had been previously used!! Due to circumstances, I had to use it today otherwise if more time I would have gladly returned for refund! If I had wanted a used product I would Have chosen that option!!!

Thankfully this came in better shape than some of the reviewers have written. The box itself was ripped and had parts poking out, but the box was in another box, so nothing was lost.It was easy to assemble until I came to place the screw into the last hole and the two pieces didn't line up. I had to drill out one hole to make it bigger to get the two to line up for the screw. Other than that, there were no problems.My file cabinet fit into the dolly perfectly and was very easy to roll into place.

Most of the reviews of this product did not accurately describe the flexibility of the sizing. My two drawer file cabinet is 14 and 1/4 in wide and 18 in deep. The file caddy adjusted perfectly to fit this size. It could be shorter in width and depth or of course longer. If the holes that are offered don't perfectly line up with your file cabinet you could drill a hole into one of the legs in order to secure it so it can be customized. The wheels move freely; they don't have locks but for a two-drawer file cabinet that's not a problem. Great product!

I already has one of these from a big box retailer. Easy to put together. Holds file cabinet well and makes it easy to move around. Both of mine needed a bit of adjusting and wiggling to get it to sit in right. It doesn’t automatically just fit. Still recommend though.

Today is Friday and I assembled the three roller sets I got last Sunday. I had also ordered two letter size 4 drawer filing cabinets not long ago and already had a Legal size 4 drawer file cabinet already half full. I by my self, installed the three roller sets under the 3 filing cabinets all by myself. As an engineer I like to figure out processes and with thought, my process worked great for me. The legal size Filing cabinet was 10 or more years old so its size may have been a little different from maybe what is made now. You see, there is no strict standardization, that I know of, to control cabinet sizes, so a company who makes these roller sets has to try to make it so it will fit all sizes from letter to legal, but even with in the letter or the legal sizes there are numerous sizes. So having the one roller set adjusted to the max size, the old legal size cabinet fit the base very close. The Cabinet couldn't have been a 1/16" larger or it wouldn't fit inside the angle corners. One more obviously important thing that YOU need to remember, the corners above the castors are the places that supports the cabinet, NOT the middle area between castor corners! I without reservation would buy these again!

Perfectly adaptable to my filing cabinet and enabled me to move the cabinet around. still coping now with a full filing cabinet and movable as well.
