I've used the Fusion system with a 461 Wi-Fi cam and E892 & E893 IP cameras for about 16 months. I started with what is now Lorex in 2016 when it was Flir. The basic setup for the system is relatively easy, pretty much plug and go. Before running cables through your place I'd suggest using the cat 5 cables to connect the cameras to the NVR keeping the cameras near the NVR while you set it up. Doing this ensures that the cables and cameras are not defective. BTW - I use the Lorex app. I believe that there is a Lorex Cloud app which might have slightly different functionality.Make sure that you write down all of the IDS and passwords you create and do create an alternate ADMIN password and do change the default Admin password. Note that before setting up the NVR you should create an account at Lorex. com which is necessary to remote view the videos. Before doing the setup decide what name you want to give each camera and what password you want to give each Wi-Fi camera.Note that the NVR is a bit loud so don't install it in your bedroom. I changed out the internal fan which cut out about 50% of the noise but the Seagate drive itself is louder than normal. The 2 TB Seagate hard drive is made specifically for surveillance systems that run pretty much 7 by 24. You can get a non surveillance hard drive which would be quieter but wouldn't last as long. The default setup has audio turned off and doesn't setup for 4K videos. You can change these settings when connected to the NVR.The installed system has very good video quality but to get the best video quality you really need to get into the weeds of device setup and change defaults to suit your particular situation.Following are my complaints;- In order to update the firmware you have to call technical support and have them email a link to the update file contrary to what is implied in the NVR device screens.- The smart motion cameras do not place recordings in the Event screen for motion detection & recordings that are not identified as a smart motion - motion ID'ed as a person, vehicle, etc. but these motions are recorded.- It will take some time to setup camera sensitivity so you don't get a lot of false notifications and events.- There will be recordings where you watch the video and can't see any movement. On the NVR buried in a menu is a way to watch the recorded videos which draws a bow around the motion that triggered the recording. Ideally this function would be available through the app rather than just through the monitor.- If your internet is down the NVR won't be able to do smart IDs (person, vehicle, etc.) but will record all motions as just generic motion triggers (I don't know what it is but something moved).- You need to download the manual from the internet which isn't included with the NVR. I seem to recall that the web address is in the quick start guide that comes with the system. I prefer the downloaded manual which is a PDF doc because you can do searches.- When setting up the Wi-Fi cams be sure to connect them to a 2.4 GHZ Wi-Fi access point and give them access to your LAN (local area network) when asked.- Put the NVR on a surge suppressor.

Bought the N847 recorder only model for $260. The product came factory sealed, both the box and the plastic that housed the NVR. The set up process was extremely fast and nothing made me feel like there was a problem in the process/product. Verification codes sent out almost instantly. I was also able to create an account through the app (main account), and then click the cog settings icon on the NVR Device to add more Users to the device. By doing so, my entire family can now log into the app and view through the cameras whenever we feel like, all at the same time without any of us getting kicked off (this happens if you log into the same account on multiple devices). The app is clean and simple, and has many options. I feel like this NVR OS and Lorex App is a lot easier to navigate compared to our old LNR6100 Series' OS. We also plugged in our old IP cameras we used on our LNR6100 Series NVR into this new NVR, and they started displaying right away with no issues. I love the backwards compatibility. Do note: you should check the lorex official website to check compatibility of cameras and other devices with this NVR model. Overall so far seems like it has been a worth-it purchase. The only downside I see so far is that there is only a 1 year warranty.

Easy to add to our existing system. We have an outside camera at camp and our camera works great.
