I wish I had taken a picture, but the process of changing out two window regulators on the same day was a bit tedious lol The driver’s side back seat broke a few years ago & I propped a piece of wood in to hold the window in place. I had full intentions on fixing it but honestly never got around to it. Then a few weeks ago, the passenger back seat did the dreadful sounds I knew that round piece had broken again on that one. I figured it was time to actually put in the work to replace both of them so all my windows would be fully operable for the first time since 2020.Given I’ve never done anything like this, I started googling parts & decided to go with these. I was a bit nervous given there was only one text review but I decided to give it a try & I’m so glad I did! My husband originally called a professional & he quoted over $280 just to drill a hole to hold the window. For a full replacement it was over $450. I’m very much a “I’ll do it myself type of person” & prefer to save a lot of money when I can. Picking up two of these for about $86 each was much better than the $900+ tax I would have had to spend. We watched YouTube videos, ordered both parts & got to work! have a 2007 dodge nitro that I’ve had for 11 years now so it was all original parts. The worst part was trying to take off the old parts. We followed the videos closely & was able to do the first window regulator in about 2 1/2hrs. Like I said, the original parts were giving my husband quite a bit of frustration but once it was all off, the new parts went on pretty easily & after a break for dinner, we started on the second door. He was finished within an hour since he knew what to do by then.The window regulators came in a nice sized cardboard box & it was protected with foam at both ends. No pieces were broken, misaligned or missing. All the windows in my truck now work just fine & I saved so much money given I had to replace two! Definitely recommend this company for their replacement parts! I’ll update if anything changes but I’m pretty sure they will last just fine.
