Smooth and pretty. Love for honey, salts, spices and such. They did take a while to arrive but are nice to preserve and not use metal.

These are really cute, sturdy, and a great value for the money. I purchased them to serve jams, mustards and such from tiny bowls on my marble cheese boards. I was concerned that the smells from the goo I served (especially the roasted garlic goo) would permeate the spoons, but nothing like that has happened. Upon receipt, I washed them with regular dish soap and water, and then greased them up with cooking spray just in case, but once I wiped them down, all of the grease came right off and none seemed to seep into the spoons. I think they can take more of a beating than I was expecting. However, I have not put them in the dishwasher and I don't think I will.

I loved the spoons, and they were exactly the size I needed, but there were a few with some irregular looking places. Hopefully I can sand these spots down and they won’t break. Was disappointed slightly because I needed these all the same with no jagged edges. But, as I said, they were what I needed, just needed to use ALL of them and not sure I can

These black palmwood spoons are pretty and fit nicely into tins of loose tea. Their capacity is less than a teaspoon (shown in photo to give an idea of scale, but they aren't intended for measuring, and I hadn't planed to use them for measuring. All of the spoons were fine upon arrival--none broken, all well-shaped and nicely finished. I'm pleased with this purchase.

These are as described. Three inches. That's the size of a post-it note. The handles were a bit thinner than I expected, but they have an appealing curve from the side that makes them look nicer than just a flat handle. The thin-ness of the handle makes them a bit trickier to operate, especially if you have any arthritis or tremors. I would have preferred a wider handle for the size of these. I felt like The Beast in that scene where he's trying to hold a fork with his claws. The material is smooth and polished, but my favorite part is the patterns and variations in the wood -- it's lovely. I believe these are meant to be used in DRY material, like salt and spice jars. That's what I'm using them for -- sugar, salt, borax (yeah...don't ask), diatomaceous earth, etc. I'm guessing any wood item is going to swell up, crack, and lose its varnish if left standing in any sort of liquid or if washed in the dishwasher.

These are beautiful, well-made little spoons that, in my opinion, work nicely for attaching to various gift items, e.g. homemade jams, salsas, facial scrubs, etc. Am anxious to pair them with the variety of lovely jars that I recently purchased from Amazon. All of mine arrived well-wrapped and were in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, or discoloration. Yes, they take a good while to arrive as they are being shipped from Thailand, but I do not think it fair for anyone to complain about that in their reviews as it is stated clearly in their description and on the order page that there is a longer than normal delivery time involved. I ordered 2 packages right away, so that I would have enough for Christmas gifts, and now that I see how nice they are, I will order more for future gifting.

Very nice, good workmanship. We love it. It took some time to get the material, not the vendors fault. It is all because of some customs formalities. I recommend this product.

Update: Over a year later, and many uses with mixing oils only, we’ve only lost 2 spoons to cracking. I’d still recommend for that purpose and as a beautiful addition to gifts.Original ReviewWe received 9 of the 10 spoons with only one being damaged. I honestly expected to have dings and scrapes in at least half of them but I was happy that the missing spoon and the chipped one were the only issue. They are absolutely gorgeous and well-crafted, and my daughters love them, but I am curious as to why the description states "no lacker", which I assume means no lacquer, when the inside of the spoon is a completely different color -- it was very light brown and white and crumbled apart like chalk. I intended to use them as sugar spoons but with this potential for chemical coating/filler I am sticking to using them for mixing our essential oils with their coconut oil. Overall, these are worth the buy if you can get them clearance priced and if you do not plan to use them for direct consumption. I definitely would not want one of my children biting one of these things...they'd shatter. As many reviews state, they would be a unique addition to gifts or good for spices that won't wet the spoon. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but the crumbly chalk interior gives me pause for safety reasons.

These are just really handy little spoons to have around the house. They're pretty tiny at exactly 3 inches long, with the bowl being 3/4 inch across, but that's part of what makes them so useful: I keep them inside my tins of loose-leaf tea and they're a perfect size to put tea in a diffuser (2 spoonfuls makes a good 16 oz mug of tea). They're also great to keep inside of spice containers, I keep one in the kosher salt dish by my stove for cooking, use in a sugar bowl, use for dispensing powdered supplements, etc. They'd also be great in the bathroom for dispensing facial scrubs, lotions, or hair products out of their containers. Just one of those little things you don't know you need until you have them.
