The pad doesnt even fill out the fabric thats sewn into the shorts, I think its what they call a floating pad? But the edges of the foam under the chamois is crudely cut(like cardboard) and it chafes your inner thigh and behind. I couldnt go for more thsn 30mike ride before my legs were raw.

These bibs are awesome. Very good quality, and comfortable. Perfect for long rides. Padding is good. Will buy another ones.

I own a few pair of Louis Garneau shorts and they're about worn out so when I went looking for replacements, LG was first on my list. I bought these Optimum shorts because they were listed as their comfort shorts, they were non-compression and they had a pocket on the thigh. All good things.First impressions and fit were good. I liked everything about them.Until I washed them. After the first hand wash and line dry, I noticed the grey fabric which lines the chamois was separating from the chamois along the edges. With this separated, it creates a layer of fabric that will ultimately bunch up and cause discomfort.They look like good shorts and would be so if the chamois were better constructed. Sadly, the chamois is the whole point, so falling short here is an ultimate fail. Don't buy these ones. Look for other shorts by other name brands and avoid the hassle of having to send these back if the chamois fails.
