The LOVEVERY Reading Skill Set is a fantastic tool for children who have a basic foundation in reading but aren’t quite ready for chapter books or need extra practice and confidence. This set is thoughtfully designed as a three-box progression, making it easy to guide kids through different stages of reading development. Each box in the set focuses on a specific reading skill, starting with advanced vowel rules like the final 'e', vowel pairs, and the influence of the letter 'r' on vowels. These concepts are supported by individual games and readers that reinforce what the child is learning, which makes the experience both educational and fun. The second box dives into prefixes and suffixes, again with its own set of readers and engaging activities that make learning new words more intuitive. Finally, the third box introduces engaging chapter books that help integrate all the skills learned in previous stages. One of the standout features is the high quality and beautiful presentation of all the components, from the books to the games. The contents are clearly organized by skill groups, making it easy to follow the intended progression. The included booklet provides clear instructions and useful background information, which helps guide you through each activity seamlessly. The packaging is elegant and well-thought-out, adding to the overall appeal of the set. However, a bit more guidance on how to decode the sequence and identify which series to start with would be helpful. Also, it’s worth noting that the red decoder wand is found in the Series 5 and another in Series 6, which may cause some confusion if not closely followed. This set effectively supports children as they transition from early reading skills to more advanced rules and chapter books, making it a valuable resource for parents looking to boost their child’s reading journey.

My daughter is going into 2nd grade now and she’s still not overly excited to sit and get lost in a book. She’s reading “at grade level” according to her teacher but I felt she could definitely use a boost before school starts back up. This has been so helpful to reinforce skills in a fun and laid back setting!! She’s now even taking it a step further and “teaching” my 5 year old how to play too! I think watching her explain what she has learned may be even more exciting than her learning it herself in the first place! Also major shout out to Lovevery for continuing to make aesthetically pleasing stuff that I don’t feel like I have to constantly shove in a closet.

This set is great for engaging my kid and promoting reading. There is always a tool for him to play with, the books are fun, and the real photos are always something we love from Lovevery. The interactive games, like the Ends With E Adventure Game, are a fantastic way to keep my child engaged while teaching essential reading concepts. The self-correcting nature of many activities helps my child play independently and build confidence.I also appreciate the confidence-building books that reinforce the skills learned in the games. The review pages ensure my child understands the material before reading. Plus, the Play Guide and online resources make it easy for parents to support their child without needing to be reading experts.

I recently got this for my child, and it's been a hit. The games are super fun, and my kid loves playing while learning these vowel rules and reading chapter books. There are sooo many books in these sets so there’s plenty of material to keep them engaged. Honestly, we have so many of the other Lovevery board books and those are well made as well. I'm so glad to see the books grow older with my kids now too with chapter books!

This is part 3 of the Reading Skill set and features Advanced Vowel Rules, Prefixes & Suffixes, and Chapter Books. I love that reading skills are taught in a fun, interactive way with this set. Kids play games and do fun activities that they can play with or without adult assistance to learn. There are 4 games and 27 books included with the set and they can be used over and over again. After your child completes the lessons, they will be ready to start reading chapter books on their own!Part 1 teaches Isolating Sounds, Learning Letter Sounds, and First Spelling and Reading and Part 2 teaches Basic Blending, Comprehensive Blending, and Storytelling. If your child is young, it is great to have all 3 parts to help them learn, grow and improve their reading skills over time. Part 3 is the last segment and the last step in their learning phase before they can confidently continue to read on their own. This Reading Skill set program really works and I loved to see my nephew's confidence grow as he completed the activities and books included with the set.The Reading Skill set is expensive, but worth every penny! Your child has a life time of reading ahead of them, especially with phones and computers, so good reading skills are essential.

I ordered this set and my kiddo isn’t quite there age wise, but I’ll say the set is very nice. Believe it or not it’s even bigger than the first set (it’s a huge box - so be forewarned!) and just as comprehensive.

This set is part 3 of a set you would buy when teaching your kid how to read. I highly recommend getting the other parts too if you have a younger child who’s getting ready to start school. This set comes with an array of different books that focus on the basics of the part that is being learned. You have books that teaches the vowels and even comes with a learning based game to make learning fun. This set comes in three different categories to start so you can advance a bit as you learn more. This is very well thought out and very useful to have.
