I’ve been using this for many months. Zero issues. Initial setup I had to lookup. Performance is coneltely as expected doing a transfer from mdadm based storage to my newer array was just as fast as expected. Iops I forgot to verify but worked fantastic. I plan to keep as a backup whenever I need extra sas/sata. 10/10 happy.

I can assure you (at least for me) it works with windows 10 pro 64 bit out of the box. Pretty easy to use. I have mine in a Dell PowerEdge r710. The only caveat is the server says the sas cable B is misconfigured but that’s because it’s really not intended for this particular model not of any fault of this controller and you can safely disregard these errors and enjoy your new controller as intended. I’m gonna try and test it with windows 11 just out of sheer curiosity and update this review with a it works out or not. But I can safely verify it works with windows 10 pro 64 bit out of the box in a r710 PowerEdge server. I have a 2tb sas boot drive on it right now! The drive was detected by the server and show up in windows 10 installation process. So in short it works and I’m happy and isn’t that really the best outcome so far? The bonus? It didn’t hurt my wallet. Less than $60 including tax and maybe $20 tops for cables as mini sas to mini sas cables are NOT included. So totaling $80 including shipping if i round everything up and less if i did exact calculations (sorry math is NOT my strong suit) so for my usage purposes it’s actually a good little investment as it runs circles around my old raid controller! Definitely get this if your server is running a crappy raid controller like PERC 6/I and you want to install windows 10 on your server! It won’t cost you a fortune and it works fine and that’s good stuff!

The listing says IR mode, my card shipped in IT mode.I was planning on flashing it to IT mode, so this actually saved me a step.Works fine, no complaints.
