I give 5 stars for the money. I have bought the mechanical ones in the past that do last a long time, but just like other ones of these, those were $100 more. Yes they are not sealed that great. Honestly, use some clear window silicone and seal it up. It's $39. How can anyone complain when you get a great price and multiple patterns? The old ones just rotated. It's built in china. I'm sure the more expensive ones leak too. Just seal it up for under $1 worth of silicone. Longevity is not tested yet. But again, 4x cheaper than any other unit from today or the past thats not considered commercial/law enforcement grade. Easy to rewire to a switch box too, just take apart the cigar lighter to know how to wire. Need to add a momentary switch to change modes, which goes to ground, not hot from switches.
