My partner was able to assemble this himself. He only needed a second set of hands in a few of the steps. It’s decent quality for the price. I don’t lean on my headboard at all when sitting in bed so I can’t speak to that kind of wear. We got this to prevent pillows from slipping between bed and wall and to give the bedroom a nice finished look. I think it will withstand normal use just fine. It looks just as good quality as the much more expensive ones in the store where we bought our mattress and platform.

Firstly, the image makes it look taller than it actually is, it's just tall enough to meet your shoulder blades when mounted just on the mattress top. Not a terrible oversight but may be disappointing if you were expecting something taller. The color and finish is surprisingly great despite the extremely inexpensive construction; it is very lightweight. Faux velour wrap on the legs is a nice touch to hide them better and there is a zipper cubby in the back of the headboard to place unused hardware or *other* items of your choosing (though a little difficult to access if you use the wall mount). The bad: most steel bed frames are already pretty flimsy, that being said if you choose to mount this headboard to the bed frame, while all of the hardware is included, you might be seriously disappointed as It'll flop around like a ragdoll. Simply getting into or innocently moving around in bed may make the neighbors suspect other things are going on as it smacks the wall and jiggles around like Chunk (goonies). There is a wall hanger kit included, should you choose to use that instead, which i did for obvious reasons.. There's still alot of play between the wall hanging hardware that had to be eliminated, so I used some small cotton hobby rope. Needless to say it's hard mounted to the wall now..no flopping or rattling around.Overall decent product for 100 bucks.

Looks great. Easy to assemble but no instructions included. We had to Google the manual online. Good value. Double size.

Good material and color; seems sturdy enough for its purpose; the tuft design is classic and elegant. Not overly difficult to attach to your frame but would have been easier with another pair of hands to hold the headboard steady while doing the screws. Does take a bit of adjusting in order to get the headboard evenly in the middle of the mattress but I'm assuming that may depend on the particular bed frame. Came in good condition with no shipping issues.

A headboard under $100, I didn’t expect too much but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked.I read reviews about how difficult it was to set up and instructions hard to follow. Therefore, for those who have no building experience or are handy challenged like I am don’t be scared off.I recommend 2 things: first - measure your the frame onto which the headboard is to be secured. My full size frame measured 54”, at the head in length and this headboard stated it was 55” and I did not need to use the metal adjustment piece. Secondly - I viewed the instructions on YouTube ( how to install a lucid headboard ). All the tools you need are in a velcro pocket behind the headboard. It is sturdy but I can see over time if you rest against it to read or watch TV, it may weaken over time if it doesn’t rest flush against the wall. To prevent this, if you have a space between the wall and headboard and it leans back slightly when you lean on it, hot glue a piece of styrofoam to the back of the headboard, at each end and one in the center thick enough to fill that gap. Assembly took 35 min.Note: YouTube video has different numbered pieces than what you receive but it is clearly visible which ones to use when you look at the instructions page.

This is the fourth headboard we've ordered from Amazon in the last year or so. Only one of them gave us problems—it looked like it'd been made by the janitorial staff, rather than by people who knew what they were doing. (To be fair, the pandemic was still going strong, and well trained workers may simply have been unavailable.)No problems with this one, though! It looks just like the photos. These headboards all have a similar design, built over a thick (3/4") MDF frame with cross-bracing. The finished support boards and frame-adapter hardware (which you may or may not need, depending on your bed) are also well made and work very well. The only tricky thing occurs if you decide to mount it to your wall, rather than attaching it to your bed frame. (I've chosen to do this with all of our headboards, as it's a bit cleaner- and more modern-looking.) There are two steps:1. Screw on the two protruding hanging brackets.2. Mount (using the included drywall anchors, unless you're lucky enough to line up with a stud) the receiving brackets in _exactly_ as far apart as the other brackets, and at _exactly_ the height where you want your headboard. And of course, everything must be level. No template, guides, or other aids for this are included; the instructions simply say to "install" them. And to make it even trickier, there are no pre-drilled screwholes or marked positions on the back of the headboard—so if you want it to be level, you must be sure you attach them at equal distances from the top. And that's not easy to do accurately, considering the top is padded, with no definite start point!Maybe there's a more clever way to do it. (Attach the brackets to the headboard, then put something on them that marks their positions on the wall when you position it there?) I just played it by ear, and had to stuff a bit of paper into one or two of my brackets to make it truly level... But whatever works, right? 😄I just can't help thinking the company could make wall-mounting a lot easier by pre-drilling some holes, and including a paper template so you could mark the wall positions. Go figure.Otherwise, you want something simple, elegant, and compact yet cushy enough to lean comfortably against when sitting up in bed, this is a good value. Cheers!

After experiencing some really over-represented duds elsewhere (I won't mention any names, but Wayfair, LOL), we were pleased how true this was to the photo and description here. It's nothing very big or fancy, but it's sturdy, simple, and well padded—a good choice if you want a tasteful, stylish, comfortable basic headboard at a very reasonable price. The included metal adapter plates and other hardware make it easy to mount this headboard on posts attached to the top (head) of your bedframe. But if you plan to mount it on the wall above your bed, you'd better have some experience hanging large, level objects. Wall-mount brackets are included, but no attachment points are marked on the back of the fabric-covered headboard—so it's impossible to tell if you've mounted them level with each other. You must then attach the receptor brackets to the wall in just the right places to receive the board's brackets. The instructions offer only the vaguest guidance. I'm a pretty handy guy, but I had to make several attempts (with resulting holes) before I found the right positions. The company could make the wall-mounting option much, much easier if they cared enough.

I am not a paid reviewer. We bought a king size bed and I didn’t want to spend a fortune. The material is nice and not thin. It is wrapped well and the color is true. I should mention...I am a picky Type A so for me to be happy with it means it is legit. I have the legs on the longest option. We have a standard height thicker mattress. The headboard bottom edge is about level with the top of the mattress. The legs come stored in a little secret compartment in the back. It would be a little hard to access a ton but that little spot would be a good place to hide something no one would ever think to find there. The legs went on easy. Now let’s be honest...this thing is not rock solid. It does have a little wiggle to it but think about what you are paying. We have a bed with and adjustable frame. It works perfect. We sleep with our heads slightly elevated so we don’t really touch it anyway. It looks very nice. If you have a tall bed like our old one...I would guess you would only see 3/4 of it? There is the option to attach it to the wall at whatever height. I didn’t want to put holes in my wall. At the bed store, they wanted $1200 for this headboard’s extra beefy cousin. It would withstand an earthquake and was more grand. I didn't want a fortress of fabric. This more simple look was perfect with the price. I did compare it to some locally. These legs are medium compared to local floppy ones and the fabric fortress . Not crappy and not Constantinople. The upholstery is much better than cheap local ones and comparable to the pricey cousin. I worried about dust being an issue and almost went with a leather. Not a concern now and I am glad I don’t have fake leather look.
