This fit perfectly for the paw hit dog kennel I got from PetSmart . It’s much stronger than the lock the kennel originally came with.

Much more sturdy construction than the cheap ones that come with the standard chicken runs you find on Amazon. Only drawback is the latch can still slide around the pole if pushed hard enough, I’m afraid of deforming the cheap metal pole of my chicken run if I tighten it any further.

It works good even though I apparently ordered for the wrong product.

The 1st of these latches my strong 80 lb mix learned to flip open if he jumped up into it a few times so I then tried padlocking it so he couldn't flip it open. When I returned home he was loose and I saw that he had broken the latch. The latch prongs move up and down [to open and secure the door] via little "ears" that fit in a vertical housing for each ear's side. The big ox had actually bent [widened] this vertical housing so that the ears holding the latch prongs fell out along with the attached prongs, hence, an open door and a loose dog. I got a replacement and it took him about one minute to break the new one. Now I have to use a heavy chain to lock the kennel door.
