This is meant to be hit, but it can't take it. The base cracked within a week of being used, which means it won't hold any water, or be able to stand up and be hit. The bag on top has too short of a bolt, and so the bag flies off when it is punched. This item had decent reviews so it was hopeful it would work, but it is just made so cheap, I can't see how anyone is giving it more than one star. It was a complete waste of money. We used it less than a week. ( I would return, but the return window closed because we bought it a few weeks early to plan ahead for our son's birthday.)**Update** I inquired to the company about the warranty, since I couldn't complete an Amazon return, and the company responded in less than a day and made everything right by me as a customer by refunding my money.

Easy to assemble in about 5 minutes. The gloves are a one- size deal, & the quality of the gloves doesn't compare to sturdiness of the rest of the unit. The 'bag' itself is well- made, plenty durable for kids.

My 5 yr old Grandson didn't even last him a month and it broke at the base.Waste of money!

Don’t waste your money unless this is for a 3 or 4 yr old. The gloves are nice quality but it comes with a very small punching bag that deflates easily. Packaging is boring too, so it is not something you can get excited about gifting. Photo on site is very misleading.

During quarantine, the kids just weren't burning enough energy and my 7yo was bouncing off the walls. I wanted to find something that would keep him busy without being a SCREEN! This has worked great and he is even getting really good at it! His younger sisters even like to play with it. I can even get some punches in and it's even entertaining for me! We all like to see how many punches we can get in without stopping or in a certain amount of time.I recommend using sand to fill the base instead of water. The water can slosh around and cause the base to tip a little if hit hard enough.The package didn't come with all the assembly pieces but I was still able to set it up just fine. The pieces missing were supposed to go somewhere in side the base but it works just fine without.

We’ve had this toy for less than a month. My 6 year old managed to break it already. He broke the coil spring right off of the base and it will not spring back or even stay upright properly.

Do you have a child that is on fire 24/7? Do they need something productive to do that isn't destroying the house or their room? This is the girt for you. The bag is pretty durable and the base is pretty sturdy. It works best if you fill it with sand so that you or your significant other don't have to hold it steady with your feet and risk annihilation of any sensitive body parts. My son is 6 and my daughter is 8 and they both go at it. It was worth it.
