Let's face it: finding the perfect case can be a struggle. Especially when you have a unique item that those fancy electronics stores haven't quite caught up on yet. That's why I love discovering cases that, with a little creativity, can be repurposed for new uses. In this case (pun intended!), I'm looking at the Luxtude Hard Case for Kodak Dock Plus, but I'm giving it a spin for a whole new purpose: protecting my trusty portable projector. From Printer to Projector: First impression? This case might be designed for a Kodak Dock Plus, but it turns out my portable projector fits snugly inside! The rigid shell protects me from bumps and scratches, giving me peace of mind when tossing it in my backpack for presentations or movie nights under the stars.Compartmental Conundrum: The built-in pocket is a bit of a mixed bag. While it might not be ideal for storing printer paper, it offers a spot to stash some extras for my projector setup. Maybe an HDMI cable, a phone charger, or even a mini tripod – anything to keep all my presentation essentials organized in one place.Snug Fit, Secure Feeling: The snug fit is actually a plus in this case (pun again!). My projector doesn't rattle around inside the case, which is important for protecting the delicate lens and internal components. A secure fit means a worry-free commute wherever my next presentation or movie night takes me.Not the Most Stylish: Let's be honest, this case isn't winning any design awards. It's practical, sure, but the look might not be for everyone. But hey, if functionality is your priority (and you're a bit of a pragmatist like me), aesthetics might not be a dealbreaker.Overall Verdict: The Luxtude Hard Case, while designed for a specific purpose, has become a surprising hero for my portable projector. It provides excellent protection, offers a spot for storing accessories, and keeps everything secure during transport. Sure, it might not be the most stylish option, but this case gets the job done for someone who prioritizes function over fashion. And hey, if you ever get your hands on a Kodak Dock Plus, you're covered there too! Win-win in my book.

This may be designed for protecting a mobile printer but it functions for more than that. I actually sought out a case this size for my underwater camera housing kit. It has lens glass, hardware, silicone, neoprene and straps. This case keeps it all in one place in a way that the elements won't be cracked or torn. Hopefully I don't think Luxtude will mind too much! The case itself is just as advertised. The carry strap came inside it and the case is rigid enough to not collapse and soft enough to protect. There is one piece of elastic inside that isn't too tight. The velcro partitions work to separate and/or also use a long one as a strap down. It says Luxtude on the outside, but I slapped on a sticker I had to remind me what is inside. There is a super strong strange smell, if I really cared I'd put in in the sun for a little bit. I am not worried, its a nice case.

This case is pretty great. It feels sturdy and high quality, with large and smooth zippers , and internal dividers. This case is intended for a portable printer, however, I am using it to contain a small tire pump with cables and a power supply. It came with a shoulder strap, which is a nice addition. The case has a soft lining inside, with little bumps to help protect whatever you need to put inside. For my purpose, the case has plenty of storage in its large interior, zippered mesh pocket and 3 dividers (2 large, 1 small) to help keep things in place. I feel that for the price, as of this review around $20, it is a good deal, and well worth the cost for the quality and construction. It will be perfect for protecting the pump while bouncing around my truck. I am very pleased with this case.

I am re-purposing this hard shell zippered case to hold a Brother P-Touch label maker, power cord, and extra tape cassettes. I tuck in the instruction manual, in the interior zippered mesh pouch on the lid. Keeps everything together nicely for the next time I need to use it. The zippers are typical nylon zippers. Metal pulls. The inside lining is not removable, but there are adjustable (via velcro) dividers to customize the interior for your needs. The cushioning is actually pretty good. Not Pelican case foam, but 1-inch cushy foam filled bubbles on the sides. Adequate protection for "normal" use. As long as you don't throw it around like a gorilla you should be fine. I'm pleased with the size and construction in this price category.I could do without the obnoxious 3" Luxturd company logo on the side. I won't dock a star off for that.

When I vacation, I have lots of electronics that go with me from charges to firesticks. I use this to pack everything away safely. This has a hard case that protects them from being crushed. I keep a list of what I put in so I can confirm that everything is there when I pack to go home. I don't know how many chargers I have left plugged in hotels when I left. This bag will pay for itself.

This is the 2nd of these cases that I've gotten. I really like them for storing somewhat delicate items that have lots of little parts/accessories. It keeps everything together in one bag and offers some protection. I use them for wood routers with all their accompanying bases, jigs, and guides that normally come with a good quality router. They are a little expensive, until you start adding up the cost of lost router parts. Then, they are cheap to keep all your stuff in one place. The case is semi-hard sided. It holds it shape very well and zippers close with good quality zippers. The cases come with a both a handle and a strap, but I just use the handle. Its very useful for carrying to and from the jobsite. It also comes with removable, padded Velcro dividers that you can move and remove as required.Overall, a pretty good value given the cost of replacing some of the stuff I carry in them. I can recommend them! This product was provided to me through the Amazon Vine Program, on which I only pay the taxes on this product.
