To be fair, buying industrial/process-control sensors on Amazon was bound to be sketchy. But 5mm sensing distance? No. Get about 2mm off the face of the sensor, and nothing's detected.Wiring is clear and well-marked, but I'd love a bit more of an explanation on what the potentiometer does. I cranked all the way to both extents, and can't really tell any difference.There's no spec sheet or documentation to speak of, so I'm not sure why I expected the pot to make much of a difference in anything.
