Taps like this are hard to find at the local hardware store. The tap arrived promptly and is sharp enough to do a good job cutting threads. I cannot comment on durability as I am a home machinist, not a machine shop.

I am happy with the product. It came with a simple rust preventative coating applied and a plastic storage case. I was using on aluminum so it had no problem cutting. I cannot speak to performance on harder materials.
