I use D rings to activate targets and the bolts get lost. These are a perfect fit to replace them.

I use these mostly in situations where I know I'm going to need to remove the bolt or need the ability to adjust it. So far, they are holding up well and are certainly easy to use. I'm actually using them a lot more than I expected especially in the garden where I may need to adjust things to keep our plants exposed to maximum sunshine. They are also nice to be able to take down structures at the end of the growing season. So these wing bolts have proven to be much more useful and handy then more permanent screws.

The M6 Wing Bolts are great. Smooth machining and precision, incredibly easy to work with. Easy to screw them in by hand without the need for any additional tools. The 304 Stainless Steel 18-8 is durable and resistant to wear and tear. Could be used for industrial manufacturing, but I used them for easy, adjustable fastening on a wood project. Note that in this kind of bolt, the wing is permanently attached to the end of the bolt.

Summary: Ordered a set of solar brackets and found they arrived without the hardware. So I ordered these M6-1.0 screws to attach the solar panels to the brackets. Also ordered the stainless steel wing nut and wing-nut bolts to replace the missing fasteners, which hold the bracket arms together. As these will live outdoors, in both sun and rain, the stainless steel will be much more corrosion resistant than the low cost non-stainless hardware that is typically included.Observations: 304 grade stainless steel, actually all 300 series stainless is very corrosion resistant. For most outdoor products, either 300 or 400 series stainless will be sufficient for the average consumer. AOESIN has 180 listings, and most are either stainless or high strength (grade 10.9) alloy steel in black oxide coating, so I would consider them a specialty manufacturer of quality hardware.Recommendation: The per piece cost of these: screws ($0.33/0.40), wing-nuts ($0.50) and wing-nut-bolts ($1.00) is a little high, and normally what you could pay at a local hardware store. If available, buy in bulk for a cost savings. Conclusion: At $10 for any of these offerings, rating them 4-stars (-cost, +specialty).Related Products:M6-1.0 x 16mm (30 pcs) Truss Head Machine Screws, 304 Stainless Steel (18-8), Phillips Drive, Coarse Thread UNC5.0 out of 5 stars 3 ratings$9.28 ($0.31 / Count)https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BG8BZ626M6-1.0 x 45mm (25 pcs) Stainless Steel Machine Screws, 304 Stainless Steel 18/8, Furniture Screws, Connection Bolts Screws, Full Thread, Bright Finish, Metric Standard$9.58 ($0.38 / Count)https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMF8CJB4M8-1.25 (20 pcs) Stainless Steel Wing Nuts, 304 Stainless Steel 18/8, Thumb Nuts, Butterfly Nuts, DIN315$9.78 ($1.39 / Ounce) > $0.50/eachhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNH9B3S9M8-1.25 x 20mm (10 pcs) Stainless Steel Wing Bolts Screws, 304 Stainless Steel 18/8, Thumb Bolts Screws, Butterfly Nuts, DIN316$9.98 ($1.00 / Count) > $1.00/eachhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNH7PHPMhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMF8CJB4M8-1.25 (20 pcs) Stainless Steel Wing Nuts, 304 Stainless Steel 18/8,Thumb Nuts, Butterfly Nuts, DIN315$9.78 ($1.39 / Ounce) > $0.50/eachhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNH9B3S9M8-1.25 x 20mm (10 pcs) Stainless Steel Wing Bolts Screws, 304Stainless Steel 18/8, Thumb Bolts Screws, Butterfly Nuts, DIN316$9.98 ($1.00 / Count) > $1.00/eachhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNH7PHPM

These "Stainless Steel Wing Bolts Screws" arrived nicely packaged, exactly as expected. Nice quality product. Exactly what I ordered. Exactly as described. They are available in common metric sizes. Also, if you require nuts, they are widely available and inexpensive. The main purpose of wing bolts is to allow you able to tighten them by hand without the use of wrenches or other tools. Hand tightening also helps to avoid overtightening. Many wing bolts have the fundamental problem of corroding or rusting over time, making them difficult to release by hand. The bolt will then need to be loosened using pliers. However, because wing bolts are primarily designed for hand tightening, the wing section may be too weak to withstand the force exerted by pliers and will bend or break off. That would leave you stuck with a headless bolt shaft. That is why it is important to have high-quality, rust- and corrosion-resistant wing bolts. This requirement is met by these "Stainless Steel Wing Bolts Screws". They are 18/8, which means they are constructed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel to resist rust and corrosion.304 indicates that they are food grade, which means they can be used on wet pots and pans.Overall, these are excellent wing bolts. Just be sure that the nuts you use for these bolts are 18/8 or greater. A rust-resistant bolt is useless if the nut corrodes and rusts.

After ordering my first two boxes of the AOESIN brand screws a few months ago, I was so impressed with the quality, I started ordering as many more types and sizes of their screws, and bolts as I can. I'm using this butterfly type bolt to make simple but strong hand clamps out of wood or metal. I even bought a new special cabinet for my work shop just to keep all the items they make together in one place. One more thing I should mention is they sell both SAE & Metric sizes of their bolts so make sure you know what type you need before you order.

Real stainless and solid screws. This is to replace a part of a helping hand that only had the flattened head. This wing head screw provides better grip.
