Hex bolts are hexagonal head fasteners with machine threads. They are commonly used for machinery and construction projects because of its sturdy structure. It's very suitable for applications with relatively large locking forces. Hex bolts can be used alone with a pre-threaded hole.

Stainless Steel 304
Composition
304 (A2) is the most extensively used austenitic stainless-steel. It's also known as stainless steel 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
Thanks to the chromium content, 304 stainless steel products show excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
Weakness
304 Stainless Steel is more likely to corrode from saline environments in coastal areas. That means grade 316 stainless steel is highly recommended for tough applications under the marine environment where there is more powerful acids and chemicals.

The threads on these bolts were the only type that would screw into a sofa to hold a back brace that held the back cushions of the sofa.The original bolts got lost when moving to a new resident.This couch was made in China and the threads were not standard threads or fine threads. They are closer to a fine thread and worked in channel mounted on back of the sofa.

I have a patio table project on the go and I wanted to use all non rusting fittings. Not so much for decay but because I don't want any rusty marks. Rustic is one thing but crappy is another.I have had lots of screws and other connectors from AOESIN and the quality is always very high. They come in nice little flat boxes which are nice for storage. The stainless steel that AOESIN uses is a lovely yellowish silver gray that looks gorgeous. Put a chain on it and I'd wear it round my neck for jewelry.This is the long 100mm Hex nuts in M8 including nut and washers. The washers are a little bit over sized. Not quite like fender washers but bigger than the usual and the hole is precisely fitting too rather than the massive great void that you get in the cheap zinc variety.Everything about AOESIN bolts is precise. All the facets are clean and crisp, and the threads are sharp and smooth but not too sharp.My patio table will be lovely with these super sweet hex bolts. I'll make sure that they show.

Most of them work fine. Had a couple nuts that wouldn’t thread onto the bolt without binding so I just tossed them in the trash. These are being used on outdoor applications so I’m not risking a seized bolt.

I've ordered many different AOESIN brand fasteners and I'm always impressed with their quality. This set of bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers is excellent. All pieces are well-formed, smooth, shiny and rounded - there is not a burr or a sharp edge to be found. The nuts screw onto the bolts smoothly and with just the right amount of clearance. The pieces are mildly magnetic, consistent with cold-formed 304 stainless steel, so they will have excellent corrosion resistance in outdoor applications. I very much appreciate that the bolts come as a complete set with nuts and washers, especially since these are of a metric size and most of the fasteners I have in my shop are inch size and I don't have random M8 stainless steel nuts lying around. Highly recommend.

As I convert from English to the metric standard, I always seem to need a metric nut or bold. USA is like in between. Unfortunately, my tool box is heavy on the English standard. These nuts and bolts will be what I need to fix metric style lawnmowers and the like from China or Europe. I am more prepared now with this kit of nuts, bolts, washers and lock washers. I hate scrounging around for the right metric nut or bolt. I'll have it with this handy kit.They are good quality Stainless Steel too. See pic. I'm ready now.

This is advertised to be "304 Stainless Steel 18-8". They even compare themselves to 316 stainless, and being similar to what's used in food utensils. This is not made from 304 Stainless Steel. All pieces are attracted to a magnet: the bolt, the nut, the large flat washer, and the lock washer. 304 Stainless Steel is not attracted to a magnet. 304 Stainless would not have corroded in normal applications. These will. I would not have ordered if the description was accurate. The description is not accurate.One last note: you are reading a Vine review, which means this product was sent to me without my having to pay for it. I never believed Vine reviews, I felt people would say anything to get free stuff. The Vine program, at least for me, is a little different: I only get what I go out of my way to ask for, and everything I get is reported as income to me, so I'll have to pay income taxes at what will probably be reported as list price. I may actually lose on the deal. I wanted this product if it was 304 Stainless Steel, it looked good, but ultimately I was disappointed that I didn't receive what was described. Hopefully, my experience has been a help to you.
