I play slowpitch softball, and recently began pitching for my team. I took a line drive off the shin and my goodness did it leave a mark. So, I started shopping for catchers shin guards. Not only are they expensive, but they have extra plates that restrict movement. These don't cover the foot and are easy to put on and take off, all for a great value price. I am 5'11 250 and these fit me perfectly .

Needed shin and knee protection from flying wood out of the splitter, these did the trick and reasonably priced.

Just to confirm that these work to protect your shins from injury when doing other things than calling balls and strikes. I did not buy these for baseball.

These fit securely and protect my shins from thrown rocks and debris while using the string trimmer. Quick to put on and remove, comfortable enough, and tall enough for an adult.

They do exactly what you need ... protect. Not fancy, but much lower priced than the high end ones. I’d recommend wearing compression pants under the pads though to protect your skin from irritation.

Good fit. Light weight. Bottom wings have save me a couple of times already from ankle hits. You might want to use long light weight sock with these when under pants.
